Story

1800Flowers Flowerama Iowa City is a franchise store locally owned and operated by Tamy Alger. We have a range of fresh cut bouquets, vase, and foam arrangements ready to choose from in our 10 door display cooler. We can also create custom work ranging from everyday to weddings and funerals.
Looking for a potted plant for yourself or with a gift in mind? We offer seasonal plants, a wide range of tropical and blooming plants, along with artificial flowers.
We have something for every season with bedding plants in the Spring and Summer, pumpkins and gourds for Fall, and for the winter time we carry trees, wreaths, and spruce top arrangements.
To compliment your flowers we have Harry London chocolates, Longrove sweets, and Harry & David Moose Munch gourmet popcorn. Need a balloon for a certain occasion? You can find a mylar or latex balloon for almost all celebrations, as well as plush animals.

Today was my second experience with this company. They went above and beyond to help me find the right potted succulents over the phone from out of state. Both times the delivered product was beautiful and in great shape. I couldn’t be more pleased with this shop and the employees who helped me!

Great service and great flowers, pumpkins, christmas trees, etc! All year around holiday gifts! I go here often. Tamy (the owner) and friendly staff always does a great job.

I recently picked up orchid potting mix and my orchid is about to bloom yet again!

I usually don't like to write negative reviews about business online but this one is warranted. My husband decided to send me flowers for my birthday. I get this phone call from the delivery guy who is yelling at me (on my birthday) for not picking up his phone call when I was in class and could not answer. And because of that I needed to go pick them up myself? I am not complaining about the quality of product I received but the terrible service I was given without having done anything wrong. A nice surprised ruined. I would not recommend.

Today is my 21st birthday and the first time I've ever received flowers. My fiance's wonderful mother bought some to have delivered to me. They called me at 12:30 telling me they would arrive in a couple hours. I didn't have anywhere to be, so that was fine. At 4:30, I decided to call and check in. I was told the delivery guy just picked them up and was on his way. Almost an hour later, I got a call from the store that ended after one ring. I took that as my call to head downstairs since I was told he would call when he arrived. I get down and am greeted in a very rude manner. He asked me if I had been on my phone the whole time or just wasn't paying attention at all.. I was confused. He said he had been downstairs calling me for 20 minutes and asked someone else who lives in my apartment building to try to contact me. He was SO unbelievably rude to me. I felt horrible because I thought maybe I just didn't have signal and missed his calls. I got upstairs and realized they wrote down the wrong contact number on the card. The number he had been trying to call was 1 digit off from mine. I called and spoke with Tamy the owner. I apologized for the confusion and told her that he had been trying to call the wrong number. I also let her know that he was very rude. She apologized and said that he had the number that they were given. Wrong. They had the right number seeing as they had called me earlier in the day and I answered right away. Someone wrote down the wrong number and that caused a lot of confusion. Mistakes happen, I understand this. Their driver apparently does not, nor does he have any patience at all. The flowers are gorgeous, but the driver ruined this whole experience for me.

Called in an order to be sent to UIHC, I didn't know the patient's room#, told them I would find out and call back. They had the beautiful bouquet already delivered before I could get back to them. Very friendly staff!
