I mistakenly validated a parking ticket from 2 days before, so I could not exit the garage. Pked the car and explained to the attendant my problem, showing him the theater tickets for both days. He was busy on his phone and plainly did not give a S _ _ _! I'm 66 and had my arm in a sling from a separated shoulder and he made me repark my car and walk all the way back to the theater to get the 2nd ticket validated. No Class!

At Maple Avenue self-park it must be real hard. I mean, if someone has trouble with their validation or ticket and presses the assistance button, it means someone has to strain themselves to get out of their chair. But when it comes to their validations, they have a 4-hour machine in the Century theater down the street. Quite often, these machines break down or do not validate properly. And quite often too, the parking garage does not print a time stamp on the ticket (that would require someone to get up to change the print cartridge). The attendants don't care, they will want to charge you regardless and will not let you leave until you've given them money. If they say the validation machines aren't working, it will be implied as if it isn't their fault but the business which houses the machines. Bad attitudes are really bad for business. Please feel free to take this up with the city of Evanston and encourage them to get some employees here who aren't from the pit of the earth.
