We booked a 4-day stay here with a "romance package" added on. I had numerous conversations with the staff and owner before our arrival to secure the details of our stay and the package options. Upon our arrival we found a lovely little oasis hidden behind a wall and a security gate. It was full of interesting antiques and artifacts. We were enthusiastically greeted and welcomed with an ice cold beverage. Our room was the "Balcony Room" and was spacious and nicely kept. We had a private entrance which was fantastic. The room was clean and the furnishings in excellent shape. We were thrilled. I have nothing but good things to say about this bed & breakfast and our stay here! We only ate breakfast there once during our stay and found it to be perfectly adequate. It's a continental breakfast set out just for you. We had croissants, biscuits, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. The coffee was hot and strong. A nice, light breakfast to start our day. A couple of notes, however. There is quite the staircase to climb to get to the room -- but not only is that disclosed on their website, it was also mentioned during my reservation process. This location is roughly one mile to Jackson Square which is easy enough to walk, but you can also quickly and cheaply take an Uber. Another thing I noted is that the room is really set up for a tall person (not their fault, it's just the way the place is built). Since I'm only 5 foot tall when I stand up straight, I did struggle a bit with closing the curtains both on the windows and the shower, and reaching one of the higher towel racks. This is not a complaint, only an observation since I'm short. We were absolutely delighted with our stay here and would definitely recommend it if you're looking for a quiet stay with a little New Orleans history. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This place feels so homey. The people are great. The atmosphere is extremely unique. Close to everything in the quarter and everything is gated in so you feel safe at night. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else.

I wasn't sure what to expect at this B&B, but it was perfect for me! Some of the other guests staying there at the same time commented to me that they were not impressed with their stay, but my experience was great, and I plan on returning! It's just a few blocks away from the Quarter, and in the opposite direction, a few blocks away from the more artsy, local goods markets. I will say the breakfast provided was nothing special- each morning the owner would go to a local grocer to purchase pre-made muffins, scones, or bread, and would then set it out on decorative serving dishes. There was also bananas, apples, and oranges available, as well as freshly brewed coffee, tea, or water. Again, very simple, and nothing to write home about; if you're expecting a delicious home-cooked breakfast, you'll be disappointed. I personally can't eat breakfast early in the morning, so I didn't care. The building itself is very kitschy; I loved the lamp in my room which was a pointed black witch boot as the lamp stand, with a lamp shade. I took several pictures, which are not accessible at the moment, but I normally wouldn't care about photos of the place I'm staying. The B&B also made me feel safe because it is surrounded by bunches of thick banana leaves; no one can see in, or GET in for that matter without a specific key. The staff was also incredibly helpful in giving directions and suggestions to the best eateries, hidden gems, and which tours to take to get the most bang for your buck. I'll definitely be staying there again, and hopefully soon!

I am giving this Bed and Breakfast a negative review only because of the last moments of our visit in the hopes that the owners will see it and reach out to me; I would be happy to update it positively if that happens. We were informed that the Mr. is away on sick leave and I feel like they may have no idea what is happening in their absense. In spite of our beautiful stay in this adorably decorated and comfy/cozy house, it is difficult for me to stay impartial when we witnessed the housekeeper/hostess (middle aged, shorter brunette, possibly hispanic. She brings her son to work and he is often in the breakfast nook area) rifling through my friends purse. We were resting in the room at around 10 AM waiting for checkout to journey to our next stop. Friend was laying on her bed and I was in the bathroom. I heard our door open without any knock or warning followed by footsteps into the room. I stepped outside to see the housekeeper digging through my friends purse and my friend cleared her throat. The housekeeper jumped, clearly startled and she said: "I thought you weren't here!" Clearly. We were so confused by this we didn't know how to respond. I confirmed that checkout wasn't until 11AM and the housekeeper said "where's your ID?!" to my friend, I think to rationalize being caught red handed searching her wallet. She didn't even actually take the ID at any point to continue the ruse, my friend had already provided all of her information to this same woman when she checked in. After a very awkward conversation ("How are you getting to the airport!?" 'We're heading to a hotel' "Don't you want to use our shuttle driver?! 'no.' "You can check your bags here and we'll watch them for you all day" NO THANKS) she finally left the room and we were so freaked out that we grabbed all of our stuff and left immediately. After an absolutely delightful stay at my very first Bed and Breakfast, I'm extremely disappointed to say that my friend and I will not feel comfortable staying here again.

Amazing atmosphere. Convenient to everything. The people are wonderfully helpful and you can't beat the rates. Can't wait to go back. You won't be disappointed.
