Easily one of the worst take out experiences we've ever had! This was our first time ordering from 190 Main and will likely be the last. I ordered the Grilled Branzino and as you can see from the photos of what I got vs what was advertised and listed on their online menu, not only was my portion size tiny, it was also missing the dried cranberries, sweet plantains and the lemon vinaigrette. That's right, it was missing all the elements that give it flavor, including the actual dressing/sauce. Needless to say it was incredibly bland. For $28 I would expect a bit more or at least a complete dish. My wife got the Mussels with Chorizo and again, as you can see from the photos, what she got looked nothing like what was advertised and listed. Hers was missing the scallions and cilantro and her portion size was also small with only a few small pieces of chorizo. I tried calling the restaurant with no answer. I understand that sometimes you have an off day, but our entire meal was messed up and missing main components.
Two words: FISH. TACOS. Best fish tacos I’ve ever had! I had the pleasure of meeting that owner. She was amazing, social, and a welcoming. Thank you Melissa. The server was on point with her recommendations and service!! I truly had it all. I will be coming back every week. To add, the building was super clean. Everything is white and it was a clean white! Pristine. The nautical decor was phenomenal. This has to be the best place in Westport. 190 Main truly is a hidden gem.
This restaurant is great. Very good food . Good variety of dishes, plus specials. The owner is from the South, and I gather they have a very popular Sunday brunch with shrimp and grits being one of the highlight dishes. Very nice people, great service and they have live entertainment on Thursday’s.
This place is amazing. Every time I go the food is on point and the atmosphere is enchanting. The chicken is some of the best I’ve had. Taste like home. Cant wait to go back for brunch.
Amazing Food and Staff. We had an impromptu date night. Our waiter was very attentive, the lamb was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.
Let me preface this by saying if it wasn’t for our waiter being so attentive and on top of it this review would have no stars. We came for lunch and ordered 4 tapas: shrimp cocktail, Thai chicken lettuce wraps, shashimi, and tuna tartar. The shrimp was somehow dry and not fresh and the cocktail sauce that came with it was frozen and had a jelly like consistency. The tuna tartare was flavorless and did not taste fresh, we had to mix some of the Thai sauce on it to make it taste alright. The lettuce wraps and shashimi tasted okay but again lacked flavor. Overall very disappointed in the food and will not be returning.
What an AWFUL experience! It started with the owner sitting at the bar and ripping shots with her friends and the bartender, sitting there laughing while there were 6 tables in the restaurant. Extremely unprofessional and rude. She was taking shots like a college kid. Waited over an hour for food, yes 60 minutes. They couldn't even serve an appetizer, just kept saying "it's coming soon". Overpriced and awful terrible experience. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Highly disappointing experience. Menu did not match what is shown on website, food was not tasty, drinks were weak, seats were sticky, service was only OK. We will not be returning.
My first and definitely not my last. The ambiance is wonderful and the food was tasty. The portions were adequate and the cocktails were yummy. She has a seasonal menu. It's a women-owned business.
It was a disappointment to come to this restaurant with my friends. We ordered four tapas dishes, calamari, shrimp salad, tuna tartare and beef quesadilla. The portions were large but the quality was not satisfactory. The tuna in tartare didn't look fresh in color and avocado was not ripe. The shrimp in the shrimp salad was not fresh either. But the calamari and beef quesadilla were not bad at all. The presentation was not what you see in their website. For those who gave this restaurant five stars, I don't think you have been a truly good tapas restaurant. Sorry for saying this.
