Welcome to our Hawthorne club in Hawthorne, CA. At our health and fitness center, we believe in changing lives through fitness. Young lady at the front desk (gray sweater, 2 pony tails,black hair), just looked at us when we were trying to sign up. Then I asked if I could use the water fountain, she didn't allow me to use a freaking water fountain, visiting this gym for the first time was a big mistake. I'm from Chicago and these people over here need to be more happy seems to me like people need to work on them selves. I'm definitely NOT SIGNING UP.

You would expect this gym to be clean due to its size but It is the opposite. Machines are not taking care of, the people clearly don’t care about the gym they go to. Only reason I go to this gym is because It is the closest gym to me that is open 24 hours. If you are looking for a gym that is clean and has working machines go to LA Fitness. Management; where are you?

Pretty cool gym nice employees and clean could use more weights but nowhere is perfect I’d give this location a 8out of 10

Very big and spacious gym with lots of parking.

The first thing you notice is a security guard walking around "patrolling" the area yet there are numerous break ins into clients vehicles. I would guess at least 1-2 cars per week, since there's always glass on floor and new signs warning guests on premises.

The restrooms (men) are disgusting. Urinals stink and toilets aren't cleaned. Sink area has hairs everywhere and there's calcium and rust around the steel faucets. Mirrors are tagged on and full of water spots. And the smell is more of a sewer than a locker room on most occasions.

Weight room is almost impossible to find a match on dumbbells and plates are scattered everywhere. Machines need maintenance badly and some of them restore.

Cardio machines are the only piece of equipment this gym has that works and are kept in working order. 

Sauna/steam room could use a closure to clean deep into the cracks and get all the buildup out and make it smell good.

Used to be a great gym. But, other than the treadmills and stairmasters, it is run down. The free weights are rarely racked making it extremely hard to find. One of the universal gym's pull down apparatus has been inoperative for weeks if not months. Their are pins missing from some of the other gym equipment. I have seen people bring in their own gym equipment to make up for the inadequacies. The gym needs better management and a complete makeover. Otherwise they will be out of business in 6-12 months once Planet Fitness opens up.
