Welcome to our Elgin & Louisiana club in Houston, TX. At our health and fitness center, we believe in changing lives through fitness. Our state-of-the-art facility has just about every feature you could wish for in a gym membership. Our club offers a wide range of group exercise classes, personal training and a wealth of other benefits and features. Whether you plan to lose weight, tone-up, or train for a big event, our club offers a wide variety of gym memberships which you can buy online or in-club.

I go to this gym mainly for the location. There are definitely better gyms, but this one is convenient for me. The cardio equipment is mostly outdated and a handful of the machines are rusty and/or don't work. However, all of the stairmasters are new, as well as a row of elliptical (and maybe treadmills). The classes are good and the front desk employees are very friendly. The locker rooms could use some help.

Wonderful weight room, however there are some issues. Because of the proximity to downtown the gym is constantly busy, and the equipment shows its age. Most equipment is working but you can tell it has been there for a while. I went into spin class today for the first time and 3 our 3 of the cycling bikes had issues. One bike you couldn’t increase the resistance and two other bikes had issues with the flywheel making it a rough cycling class. The second and first floor have poor placement for water foundations, first floor it is hard to find and the second floor only has one location. Overall I would recommend this gym to weight lifters that seem to be the crowd this gym goes after. If you are big into classes and a super clean and well maintained facility I would go to the YMCA downtown if the price is about the same.  I got a good deal on my membership hence why I joined. However I may switch if the ymca runs a good special.

This gym is bad... the equipments are very old. Some even have rust on it! Take a look at the pictures. The locker rooms are horrible. The treadmills are not bad actually. The best part of the gym was ONE of the front desk guys. Professional and courteous.

Today is my first time here and is was perfect! Bruce thank you for welcoming me! 

And all those bad reviews shame on you for downing this location! You all gave me high skepticism about this location! I'm happy I came to give a honest review! 

As soon as I walked in I had a "warm welcome" by Mr. Bruce! He smiled and was kind enough to show me where everything was. My current gym is still in the process of recovering from Hurricane Harvey so this was the closet gym within my distance! 

The location is CLEAN! 
The people are wonderful! 
And the parking was easy breezy, but then again I came at 11am- so not a 100% how it is during peak times! Just being honest! 

24 Hour Fitness we need more people like Bruce!

This is truly a horrible gym, where the only thing that counts is gym membership, as many as they can. The manager here and staff really don't care about the customers. You get get away with anything here from sneaking in the facility past 10 p.m.., to sitting on machines and texting, , not cleaning your sweet off machines or putting your weights up. Every evening around 10, just wait for the single desk clerk to go in back to collect towels, walk on in. I've seen vagrants sleeping in here, but more that that, alot of people who sneak in and are to poor to afford a gym membership so they sneak in at night to play basketball. These trashy people, curse, holler at the top of their lungs in the basketball courts and the weight room floor. The management is well aware of this DANGEROUS situation and will not do anything. People sitting on machines texting, people taking pics in the locker room. I complained about a guy one time taking pics and the employee just shrugged his shoulders.... And then the arguments that almost occur daily between members. If you go to this facility you'd better be bigger and meaner than the next guy, there are a lot of weird "bullies" here. And then DO NOT PARK YOUR CAR TO FAR FROM THE DOORS, as cars are routinely burglarized in the parking garage from all the poor people hanging around and sneaking in. I know this comment is a lot of rambling, but there are so many problems here. It is not the local YMCA where respect and courtesy is promoted, truly this is a do whatever the H*ll you want type of facility!
