Story

Welcome to Howell's only uptown downstairs place to meet. Join us to relax in a warm, casual atmosphere with a craft beer, a classic cocktail, or glass of wine. Our only entrance is in the back, off the alley. There is a parking lot at the southeast corner of Walnut and Clinton. If you park there and look toward Grand River, you'll see a wall with a mural on it. Go to the left of that mural and you'll find our stairway to heaven down to the pub.

Great place down in the basement! Love the way it looks! But now the real story. The food was excellent! The sandwiches that my wife and I enjoyed were top notch. The craft cocktails were very good and full pours not weak like some places. We also had the desert special of the day and it was very good! Very high quality and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful! We will be back! UPDATE: The wife and I just had another fantastic dinner at 2Fogs! Their burger is the best I have ever eaten! And I have had a number of burgers. My wife's dinner was excellent as were the craft cocktails.! Happy to see that their business is picked up. Great place!!

First time patronizing this restaurant.  We (group of six) sat in the basement section.   The atmosphere was great!  The noise level was moderate and we were able to easily converse.  The entire staff was very pleasant. The owner came to our table several times to talk and make sure we were satisfied.   The spirits menu is very good.  Our group had the scallops and fillet and they were excellent!   Would definitely go back!!

Went here during balloon festival with a group of 8 of us. Waited at the bar downstairs while they got a table ready. The owner gave us a section all to ourselves so my kids could walk around and even carried my son over there for me. He was so friendly and seemed like he truly cares that everyone has a good dining experience. The service was great and the drinks and food were top notch as well. Love the vibe. April at the bar is great too. Like to stop in when we go to Howell. :)

This place is very nice and a good thought in general. Spirit selection is amazing as someone knows booze really well, maybe the owner cause the staff is not necessarily the knowledge. The prices are actually very high for the industry standard on alcohol. Maybe it's the rent that causes it, but it's Howell. Hmm.....

Now, the food...needs help, lots of help. Although the place seems like they are trying, whoever is back there does not have an impressive skill set. Sorry, but being in the industry 20+ years I have to be honest. The offerings in this area are not impressive in general, so this place is probably above par versus the competition. 

Hopefully, one day the restaurant owners will spend the cash on talent to do something better. Cheers.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner. We were not from the area and decided to just try it. When we first got there we were not sure if we were going to be able to find a seat (it was a Friday night and the place was packed). Luckily for us there were 2 seats at the bar. We each got the lamb burger and it was delicious. The staff was super helpful (it can sometimes be indecisive). If I am in the area I would definitely come here again.
