Nice place to go for some good old fashioned verbal abuse!  To add to this bizarre version of customer service, the seriously angry owner packs not one, but two sidearms and often wears a bullet-proof vest.  Total nut job.  Find another place to gun shop.

I think if you are law enforcement you will do just fine here. 
Guy likes to hear himself talk more than sell. Apparently doesnt need my buisness. 
Drove up to the shop the second time, after the apparent change in hours stopped me earlier this year (not open Saturday anymore). I recommend calling ahead.
Was interested in the shop because it came up as a dealer that I found on FNs site. Two guns I was interested in, one easy to find, the other was going to be a possible hunt but there were clear model numbers to be pursued and I had money in my pocket (really all planned out and excited).
Guy never lifted a finger to tell me a price or asked me any questions except wether I was law enforcement or military because of the gun I was asking about. Ive done enough research to know the legal model numbers I'm looking for but that never came up.
Tried to let him talk it out, hoping he'd get the hint but he never got to that important part a customer is waiting to hear: 
"Let me see what I can do for you."

Seems so simple. I'm sure its part of learning how to make deals.

Ive been to several other shops in the area (while 2nd amendment got up to date on their hous of operation). Seriously, I was holding off on purchasing, until I could visit this shop, thinking I could find more help at a dealer (ok don't laugh).
I spent more quality time in the plenty of other shops in the Santa Barbara area feeling included in a conversation about my firearm purchases rather than lectured.
I feel this shop offers nothing more than I will be able to find elsewhere, so there's no need to return. 

Im glad this isnt the normal attitude.

Searched SoCal and the eastern Central Valley 2 years for a specific weapon with no luck. Intentions of meeting a friend at the museum and discovered this gem of a shop.  Walked in, inquired about said weapon and almost dropped to floor when shop keeper replied, "How many do you want?".  Paid for it and item was shipped to my local gun shop with zero hassles.  Wish he was local and not over 3 hours away.

This shop isn't huge, but they have the basics and an honest owner.  The owner actually talked me out of buying one of his guns.  He explained to me why he felt it was not a good match for my needs and led me to make the right decision.  He didn't know I had the money in my pocket with the intent to buy the gun.  He lost that sale, but gained my trust.  Many people know exactly what they want, but I admit that I am new to firearms and need some guidance.  I know many places that would've sold me the gun and let me live with my bad choice.  Thanks Gabriele.
