Good food overall, but poor service. No substitutions. Slow to wait on guests. Not very accommodating or welcoming.

Excellent breakfast! Their bread is very good. I almost bought some to take home but at $12 a loaf, I had to pass. Love their outdoor seating. Great views of downtown Suttons Bay.

Food tasted decent, but we heard our waitress loudly complaining near the kitchen because we were "still there" finishing our coffee. There were plenty of open tables and no wait, closing time was still a half hour away. We'd ordered food and ate it, tipped the waitress 20% of the total bill, and spent an hour total at the cafe (1:30pm-2:30pm). We each had a "Hearty Breakfast" order and a coffee. I honestly have no clue what her fuss was about, but it was incredibly unprofessional.

Opens at 7am so great for the early birds. Restaurant is clean, comfortable and offers a nice mellow vibe. The menu is well rounded, appropriately priced and my breakfast selection was delicious (The Thompson). The wait staff is quick, courteous and attentive. I definitely recommend.

What could go wrong did. We waited for 40 min to be sat, expected for a holiday weekend but once we were seated the wait continued. The waitress was young and nice enough, but really inadequate at her job. She brought drinks single file, forgetting members at our table all together.  Served a refill in a broken glass and couldn't remember who ordered what. We had friends in from out of town and were looking to try a new place. We unanimously agreed that none of us will be back .
