This restaurant is a gem in the beautiful hill country. Chef Cindy has created meals for ambassadors and is known for her French inspired cooking.  The meal was delicious and we enjoyed the displays of art work.  It was a quiet, romantic restaurant in a relaxed atmosphere. It is worth the beautiful drive to Blanco to dine here.

I attended their very first wine tasting dinner. The featured wines were from Saffron Fields located in Oregon. The 4 course meal commenced with a roasted beetroot napoleon with a walnut chive cream paired with a Rosé. Next, the autumn arugula salad was paired with a Chardonnay, a delectable combination. The main entrée featured beef tenderloins with morels and a tarragon-Marsala sauce paired with the 2013 Pinot Noir. Finally, the dessert entailed a chocolate puff with coffee infused ice cream topped with chocolate ganache. The dessert was paired with my personal favorite 2013 Heritage Clones due to its rich fruit flavor. 

4th street Bistro is a true hill country treasure with a chic interior. Overall, they have a good selection of wine, especially the Saffron Fields. Cindy Ross is an amazing chef and I will definitely be returning.
