Overall the bowling was fun. 
But the place had no A.C. and it smelled 
Plus there was a dead cat out by the dumpsters and they never moved it. The service was good though.

One of the three Bowling spots left in San Jose. It's an old building, but it feels timless. The inside contains the bowling alley, a really, really good restaurant, and a bar with karaoke. Super fun spot and affordable. Highly recommended.

The café at the bowling alley is our go-to for weekend breakfast, not because it is the best, but because there is usually only a short wait.  San Jose is severely lacking in good breakfast spots so the lines can be unbearable at other places.  No one seems to know about the 4th St. Bowl café.  As for the food, it is standard fare but does include some tasty surprises like Javier's special scramble of eggs, hot dogs, tomatoes and green onions.  They also serve some Hawaiian favorites like Loco Moco.

Clean, well lit bowling area. The rental shoes were in good shape too.

Friendly bowling leagues, friendlier bar and a great diner with food allowed by the lanes makes for an atmosphere worth checking out.
