Good but not great. I appreciate that the place was very clean and service was really corteous. Among the dishes that we ordered, i like the nem lụi the most. The meat was very tender and flavorful. Highly recommend to order an extra serving of bánh hỏi to go along with the nem lụi. Price is reasonable.
Service was quick. Their Bún bò Huế was lacking in flavor, so they compensated with Nước Mắm Fish sauce. Barely tasted the actual broth. Otherwise, the noodle to toppings ratio was good, and the chilli hit the spot! Their Bánh Bèo was pretty good though, and the sauce for that wasn't too strong and over powering. Felt more like one lady was doing all the work, and the other was more interested at staring at her phone, but whatever!
Decent place to get a bowl of good Banh Bo Hue. Having been to their Alhambra branch, we know that this place can satisfy our craving for central Vietnam food here. Hue foods are particularly popular in Vietnam as they were palace food for the king. We probably know Hue from many Vietnam war movies and TV shows where they were many battle scenes took place in Hue. With such a rich history, the city claims several distinctive dishes — from small and delicate creations originally created to please the appetites of Nguyen feudal lords, emperors and their hundreds of wives — to lusty, fiery street-level soups and sausages with complex, explosive and satisfying flavors. 5 Star Hue offers many of those favorite Hue dishes here. I really like their Banh Bo Hue noodle soup. They don’t get stingy on the meat and noodles. For $9, you get a big bowl of noodle with plenty of porks and other meats. Another of my favorite is Banh Beo. This dish is one of the iconic food in the Hue region. These are steamed rice cakes, about the size of a silver dollar, that come 8 pieces to an order, topped with dried shrimp, pork cracklings, shallots and herbs and served with nuoc mam pha. I like it so much that I can eat the whole order by myself. Although this restaurant offers beef Pho, I don’t think this dish is their forte. The broth is decent and tasty, but you come here for their Hue food. You can also find plenty of other favorite Hue food here too. We were too full to sample all the Hue food at one go. Will be back for more.
The food is actually not too bad. Good variety and decent prices. Easy parking before noon. They accept Apple Pay. It’s quite clean too.
The Service: Very very efficient!!! Good management with great team. Staffs are great recommending dishes on the menu. The Food: I tried the steamed rice cake with shredded shrimp on top. 10 small plates of rice cake, perfect to share appetizer. The Parking: Plaza parking. Might get crowded because several restaurants in the same plaza.
Come try their Nem Lui, grilled skewers wrap, it's so good, you won't regret it. If you can, ask for fresh garlic and fresh chili. The dipping sauce is one of the best in town.
loved it all!! Highlights: banh beo, banh nam, and dau hau ky were all immaculate
*Decorations are quite contemporary. *Food portions are adequate. 1/2 *Services aren't attentive; appears to be family-run operations. *Men's restroom ran out of toilet- seat covers! Vegetarian options: Menu has Vegetarian portions. Parking: Adequate parking spots.
Tried a ton of fabulous new dishes here. This place is a unique experience if you are not familiar with Hue cuisine. The drinks are super special and worth trying. Be adventurous and try something new.. you will be rewarded here.
I like to say this is the best bun bo hue I ever had in such a long long time and I can’t find any restaurant as this unique They are new so clean and comfy inside and the service is amazing I love to recommend this restaurant to all my friend
