I had a really good time when I took my daughter here. The atmosphere is cozy and functional. The staff are all very kind and helpful. I don't remember my servers name but she's a young woman with very pretty, dark, curly hair. My daughter and I ordered the goat cheese appetizer and a steak dinner each. The goat cheese platter was perfect as an appetizer, not too much and not too little. The tomatoes and garlic was perfect with the bread and goat cheese. Our steaks came out perfect, it's the first time I found a place that knows how to cook a steak to the temperature requested! Also, their steak absolutely doesn't NOT need steak sauce as other establishments. Such a rare find. I also spoke with the manager Selena and she was extremely polite and warm, making me feel very welcomed and appreciated as a patron. I will definitely come back for more amazing food and top notch service!
My server was Russell who was amazing with the service and knowledge of the menu and steaks. The ambiance was awesome the interior reminded me of an 1980s NY steakhouse or something. They have an outdoor patio as well and private dining rooms. Bar seemed legit, food and steak was amazing and service was superb!
We had a great meal, and an even better server. Ask to be seated in the section Ray is working. He is very knowledgeable of the menu, has a deep understanding of wine and alcohol, and gives great customer service. We ordered a 10 year aged port and crab cakes to start, and for the entrees we had steak and lobster. The rib eye is to die for. It was cooked to perfection. A guy named Nathan, who I believe is some kind of manager, checked up on us as well and had great customer service. He made sure that everything was living up to our standards. It was our first time coming here but it definitely won’t be our last. I highly recommend the food here, and once again our server Ray was great.
I ordered the 16oz prime rib and it was excellent. My friend tried the 22oz 30 day aged new York stripe, and it was quite good as well. The service was great and the only reason why I'm giving them 4 star was the our server was not wearing a mask and I could feel his spit as he was asking us how was our food. Not the best experience feeling the waiters spit all over you, and most likely your food, regardless if pandemic times or not.
My best friend had her birthday dinner here, and the service and food were excellent. They had messed up our pre-fixed menu, so we had to wait for them to re-print the menus for our party, but they comped an order of oysters for the entire table. Our servers were fantastic, and overall we had a lovely experience. The Triple Nickel/555 has never let me down with their quality of service and the food has always been consistently top tier.
555 East American Steakhouse is a must try if you are in the Long Beach area. The place looks upscale and has a nice atmosphere. I ordered the NY steak which came with mashed potatoes. I always appreciate a high-end restaurants that at least offer you a side with steak and not charges you an arm and a leg for a side. The steak had very good flavor and it was easy to eat.
The Spanish octopus a la plancha is a must order appetizer! You won't regret it. For the main plates, we had the bone in rib eye and the pan seared yellow fin tuna ahi plate. The tuna came only with a side of white rice. I think it should be salad but that's my opinion. Both plates were still flavorful and delicious. We ordered the Roasted beets salad on the side and it comes with yogurt and goat cheese. The ambiance is comfortable and cozy. Very heart warming as they have the Christmas tree and lights out. Our waiter was amazing and very knowledgeable. We had tons of questions about the food and he was able to answer all of them. He also made sure we were well hydrated.
A few days late on my review... For this being our 1st time to dine at 555 E Steakhouse, we had a great time. The staff, from the valet to the hostess to the food servers, everyone we encountered with was nice & courteous. Our waiter, RAY! 2 thumbs up. His approach, customer service was absolutely awesome. His presentation from start of breaking down the menu to his recommendation, along with his personal favorites was impressive. His explanation on flavors of the steaks, was on point. Ray was very attentive, not only with us but with all his other guests. Next time we visit, we will be requesting that he be our server. Keep up the good work & awesome customer service skills Ray! Thank you! Now a review of the food...We left stuffed & happy when we left. Everything we ordered was amazingly good. From the crab cake, goat cheese platter, sides butternut squash, garlic mashed potatoes, loaded baked potato & caesar salad, Chilean Sea Bass, 45-day aged Porterhouse & 45-day aged Ribeye and lastly classic butter cake, all was flavorful & tasty. Truthfully, butter cake can be more moist, but that's just my opinion. Overall we were satisfied! Which is yet another reason, for going back. Let us not forget about the entertainment that night, that gentleman at the piano, amazing. The music selections he played that night was great. Got us feeling the music vibe & even got us reminiscing our childhood.
We went on a date night and had an awesome steak to celebrate our relationship. The service was as good as the steak, it was perfect. Great vibes, love pianist, good atmosphere, cool clientele. Loved every moment.Food: 5/5
Came here for date night. My partner and I have never been to a "fancy" steakhouse before so we decided to come by here. It was incredible!!! I order a soup, I can't remember which one but it was very flavorful. I want to say it was some lobster soup. The table also comes with fresh bread and butter. I ordered a fish dish with some vegetables. I wasn't too impressed with it because the portion was pretty small but the fish was fresh. My partner ordered a filet mignon with a baked potato and that was literally the best steak I had ever tasted. The baked potato was out of this world too!! The flavors were perfect and satisfying!
