EVERYDAY I purchase the same two packs of cigarettes from the 711 located at 2144-48 Lombard St Phila Pa, with my credit card with no problem. However when I attempted tp purchase today (7-17-2016) I was asked to present ID of which I had to return home to obtain. Upon presenting my ID, my state drivers license and my "FEDERAL passport card, both which have my name and picture on them, I was denied service as the name on my credit card (LEN which is short for Leonard) did not match my long name of my 2 ID cards---even after explaining to the clerk that Len is Short for Leonard, and that I purchase there everyday---I was denied service---Meanwhile other people walked in, purchased items without being asked for ID once they paid with their credit cards, in effect a double standard was applied to me, a person of color while, white customers were afforded the benefit of the doubt. I was so incensed that I called police.....to no avail as cops could not force them to serve me, or so I was told as I don't know the customer service rep had with the police to justify such treatment. I have also taken it upon myself to report them to the city department of licenses and inspection as it is also noted the store is selling cigarettes purchased from out of state, thereby circumventing STATE and CITY tax laws and more importantly Federal tax laws .. #711badservice
