Our summer camp school bus broke down there today and we spent about 2 hours at this location. We had a bus full of college aged staff and about 30 high school aged campers. This location has a gas station, souvenir shop, and outdoor Indian jewelry market. In addition to the normal souvenirs, they carry really cool 3D post cards in Grand Canyon and Western themes. This location also has some of the coolest GC vintage T-shirts that I've seen. They even have some that are modern-looking and would look good for someone who dresses in contemporary, slick, urban fashions. The shop has a cat that lives inside and is very friendly. 

Finally, the best part is located BEHIND the location. You can take really artsy fartsy photos of the dry rotting, antique buildings AND the modern-Western horse corral. The view of the mountains is great, too. The wild Prairie Dogs have been fed human food and are habituated to humans. I literally fed the Prairie Dogs leaves from my hands while taking photos. DO NOT FEED THEM HUMAN FOOD. DO NOT PET THEM. Prairie dogs carry rabies and the plague. You will need to go to the hospital immediately if one bites you!
