Burger was actually really affordable and good. Fries were well seasoned. Service was really good and they made sure that guests didn’t take up too much time at the tables. The video game selection is also huge so pretty fun for a short time. The place is a bit small so not a great place to hangout for a long time due to time limits at the table.
Someone recommended 8 bit bytes as I am gen x and still a gamer. My 9 yr old and I went in a weekday evening. Wasnt crowded but still not empty. The prices are very reasonable. You will not feel you are spending too much on a chicken finger dinner. The fries were really good. The seasoning was spot-on. I was surprised cause my son loved them and he doesn’t usually like seasoned fries. They were very good. The burger was very good. You could taste it was fresh and real beef. The chicken tenders were huge, cooked perfectly - very crispy and juicy. We had a chocolate shake. It tasted like it was made with ovaltine not syrup- which I prefer. It had crunchy chocolate cereal bits which my son loved. The staff was friendly and talkative. The space is a bit small so plan you trip around peak times. The games were fun. They have all the old hits like street fighter, mega-man, super Mario, donkey Kong, etc. I will definitely return when in the area. And I would recommend for a fun lunch dinner. They also have a promo with free shakes on Monday with an order. Yummy! Perfect spot for a gamers date night!
Really cool place to grab a bite. Food is nice and also affordable. There's tons of games to choose from. My only gripe is that the place is small, so seeing it get very crowded quickly kinda puts pressure on you to not linger and enjoy some games. The place would be very nice to hang out in if you could stay there a little while.Food: 5/5
My experience at 8 Bit Bites was amazing. I was there on 9/23 with a friend that was visiting from Baltimore. And he loved it as well. The ambiance and music playlist brought back 90’s vibes. Each table had an emulator. I was able to play my old school Super Nintendo games. So it brought back great memories. As far as food, I got the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich and it was good but not great. I’ll rate it a 6/10. Especially after eating Dave’s Hot Chicken. The Chocolate Mountain milkshake was really good. Their milkshake menu looks delicious. I want to try all of them when I’m out there. I’ll definitely be back for sure. Thanks again for a great experience. Grade A. Kid-friendliness: It’s a kid friendly environment. Good place to take the kids for lunch or dinner and keep them occupied by letting them play video games awhile eating good food. I just hate that it’s a 30 minute time limit but it’s for good reason. If they could make an hour time limit, I think that’ll be great.
Thoroughly enjoyed my food! Staff was very helpful in answering questions I had about the menu. I also got an oreo shake which was very delicious and not too sweet. Great prices! Only downside is the location is quite small so all the tables were taken when I got there and I didn't get to play any of the games. Otherwise the atmosphere is vibrant and fun! Definitely recommend giving it a try.
It was such a fun experience. Nostalgic games and pretty good food. I had the honey sriracha tenders with 8-bit sauce, and it was saucy The fries were OK. They weren't crispy. Just meh. The milkshake was yum. I would definitely come back. The atmosphere is fun vibes.Food: 4/5
I ordered a smash burger with fries, and it was delightful. Although the burger size was slightly smaller than expected, the taste was amazing. The fries were perfectly crisp and well-fried. The overall packaging was good, and, most importantly, the food was HALAL. For all the Muslim individuals in and around Lower Manhattan, it's a great spot for a satisfying burger experience.
Wow. Not only was the vibe incredible, the food was just as good. I got the double smash with tater tots and it was amazing. The burger was so flavorful and juicy but still had that great smash burger crust. I dont know what the seasoning on the tator tots but was on point and they were crispy. The power rangers were out and nostalgic music that matched the whole vibe from the light up floors to the retro decorations. Not to mention the tv stations with TONS of old school games anybody born in the 70/80/90s knows and loves. Such a fun place for kids and a guilty pleasure for adults . Go for the fun and keep coming back for the food! Definitely will be returning and bringing more people to enjoy it too!
Great atmosphere. Great food. Video game themed. Food came out fast. Good price for NYC. They have emulators set up on the TVs to play old school video games. A bit of input latency on TVs, might want to check if game mode is on. Also, I think there's ordering kiosks but those weren't up when I went. Kid-friendliness: All video game themed. Now it's retro video game themed, but if a kid is in to that it would be a perfect place to take them to
Amazing first time experience. Slater at the register was phenomenal with the service he provided. Very friendly as he helped us with ordering and everything else. We were a party of five and everything we ordered was great. We had double smash burger, chicken tenders, loaded fries, and two regular burgers. Everything tasted great. The atmosphere was nice and fun. We would love to come back soon. Thank you slater for your service.
