Love this place!! I live by Fort Myers Beach and it is well worth the drive to cape coral. The food is authentic, amazing and as the menu warns will definatly induce a nap. The service is personal and top notch. I love to eat at locally owned restaurants that you can't find anywhere else and this is one of them. A true gem!

In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Cajun food. It is difficult to imagine a more humble origins than those of the genius cooking at A Cajun bowl, who is, in this critic’s opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in Florida. I will be returning to A Cajun bowl soon, hungry for more.

Great food, fun laid back staff & real good authentic Cajun food from Louisiana. Had fun, and really enjoyed the spicy jambalaya. I would highly recommend this spot for those foodies and tourists looking for great food off the beaten path.

Being a Falcons fan it's hard to get over the Drew Brees Jersey hanging on the wall when you walk in 😝 but one taste of the food combined with Mike the owners down home customer service I quickly got over that. I had the seafood jambalaya which was delicious and prepared with the perfect amount of spice. This place is definitely a jem and offers something not common to the area when it comes to authentic cuisines... a must try!

We have discovered a great little restaurant with some of the best Cajun Food we have found outside of Southern Louisiana. And since we like hot-n-spicy we are right at home here.
