After being interrogated as to where we normally shops the owner proceeds to sternly and fiercely explain that he only sells the beer she was looking for to his normal customers. He then begrudgingly gets her 1 beer and does sell it to us but while doing so proceeds angrily tells us we need to support local businesses. Want to know how to not get new customers? That's how. 
Now I did shop from there time to time there as I know he has some harder to get beers and wines. I don't go often because he it out of the way and off the beaten path. But I can tell you I will no longer suggest this place when someone asks if I know where hard to find items are. I also will not be buying another thing from there. Go to any other liquor store.

AJ's is by far the best wine and liquor store in the Valrico/Lithia area. From quantity to quality, Ajay and his team continue to do an awesome job adding to their selection of liquor, wine and beer. They also have a good cigar selection. 

I love the fact that Ajay isn't concerned about selling the most expensive or the most popular products. On multiple occasions, he has taken the time to "educate" me on various aspects of products that weren't as familiar to me. He will never "tell" me which product to buy. He simply explains the various attributes of the various brands of a product, but ultimately lets me make a selection based on the information he has shared. 

Also, I had another experience with AJ's that is actually what drove me to seek out a means of getting the word out and strongly recommending them. Recently, I was in search of a specific wine that I knew had been discontinued and was no longer available for retail purchase. Ajay was able to locate the wine and was able to get a case of it for me. Not only was I amazed that he was able to get it, I was equally impressed with the time and effort he took on my behalf. And when the wine arrived, I fully expected to pay a much higher price. From what I recall the price being for this particular wine, Ajay's price was more than fair and surprisingly low actually - especially considering the hoops I'm sure he had to go through to get it. 

Anyhow, if you're looking for the best wine and liquor store in the Valrico/Lithia area, including a team that has superior product knowledge and provides an unmatched level of customer service - AJ's is it!!

Every single time I have shopped for a sale priced item, he charges me full price. Then I have to stand there waiting, wasting my valuable time, while he backs out sale and recharges. He makes ME go check price, like I'm the one who is dishonest. Will never buy from him again.
