A-P TAX & ACCOUNTING NOW OPEN IN PARKERSBURG.

When one door closes, so opens another. This is just the case for the new tax and accounting business in Parkersburg. In July Dennis retired and Cory Troyna has stepped in to open A-P Tax & Accounting. The business is located in the same office Dennis occupied for so many years. The only difference will be the face behind the desk.

Cory earned his BA in Business Administration from the University of Northern Iowa in May of 2004. He received on-the-job training from Dennis Ihde while helping him seasonally to prepare tax returns every year since 2003. When Dennis approached him about taking over his practice, he began studying for his Enrolled Agent license to be able to prepare taxes as a full-time occupation. He completed his last exam in November of 2012 and received his license to practice in March of 2013.

Cory has lived in the Aplington-Parkersburg area since he was in early elementary. He met his wife Jen while they were both at Aplington-Parkersburg High School (He’s class of 1998, Jen is class of 1999) and they were married in June of 2001. They’ve remained in the area and have resided in Aplington since May of 2005. They have four "tax deductions" in their home that keep them very busy: Carly is 11, Carson is 8, Ciara is 5, and Carissa is 4. Their roots are in this community and they plan on calling it home for many years to come.

Outside of work, his family enjoys being involved in the community. They are active in their home church, First Congregational, in Parkersburg. They participate in the Awana program and have led small group studies and coordinated conferences at the church as well. Cory also serves on the Aplington-Parkersburg Athletics Booster Club.

A-P Tax & Accounting is taking appointments now for existing clients and accepting new clients as well. Cory specializes in all areas of income tax planning and preparation, payroll and accounting services for individuals, farms, small business and commercial.
