This is an awesome snack shop. The drinks and food are terrific. We had a few drinks HK milk tea $6, matcha tornado $6.25, creme brulee $6.25, popcorn chicken $8.50 and eggette $7. The popcorn chicken had a unique breading. It was crunchy and flavorful. There were spicy options and/or sauce options. We went with plain. The guy working by himself did an excellent job of taking our order and making it. I really liked how there were a lot of comfortable seats and how clean it was. Pro tip: there's a discount for paying in cash. The restroom lights don't work. So turn on your phone's flashlight before going in.
Overall great first impression of branding and ambiance. Clean and plenty of seating with a unique menu. Quick and amicable service as the line of 4+ people diminished quickly by virtue of fast service. I only ordered the mango hibiscus tea light sweetbess and it was phenomenal. Plenty of parking in front of the store, parking garage also available.
Stumbled upon A Sack of Potatoes while I was looking around at Vietnam Town. Right next to R&B bubble Tea store. Spacious Indoor Seatings with a welcoming relaxing environment. They offers great Fresh Fruits Teas, Smoothies, and Creamy Milk Teas and various Toppings. Their Full Snacks menu Options includes: Masago Kimchi French Fries, Shrimp and Parmesan Garlic Fries, All day Wonton Soups, All Day Curry Shrimp and Unagi Rice Bowls, Musibi Spam, their Popular All Day Signature Steak and Chicken Combo Cups, and so much more Signature Snacks that many enjoy! They also offers Catering and specials occasions Reservation for birthdays and other gatherings. Great Boba Drinks and Snacks!!!
Really nice snack place that recently opened up on Vietnam Town. My favorite drink from them is the Thai tea creme brulee drink at 30% or 60% sweetness. Normally I dislike creme brulee toppings because they taste too sweet but this drink is a winner in my book. The drink isn't too sweet and blends the Thai tea flavor well without tasting like a dessert in a cup. It's very refreshing and good when I have a craving for a non fruit tea. Beyond that, their fries are pretty good. They always make their fries really crisp and flavorful. The only cons I can think of are that they charge 60 cents for sauces. With the popcorn chicken I got, the spicy chili sauce was 60 cents additionally. I would've preferred if it was complimentary considering it's not a very large amount of sauce.
the guy that was working on wednesday around 4pm dropped a cup on the dirty floor that has met countless numbers of shoes, picked up the dirty cup, and continued using it to make drinks. i told him to use a new cup, he said "ok", but proceeded to use the same dirty cup. BE CAREFUL, I do not trust the workers here. Manager should really train staff what sanitary conditions mean. never going back here.
It was Siyoung Day when I went. So pretty busy off and on. I placed an online order and they never updated me on my order, so I had to go up to the counter and ask them about my order status. I had the gimbap roll and that was so bad. Everything is supposed to be cut the same size instead they slap a huge piece of steak in each piece which made it hard to eat. The steak was sorta chewy as well and not tender. Also had a taro blended drink with lychee jelly. Even with 30% sugar it tasted so sweet. More then likely the jelly attributed to this, so will forego the jelly next time. I would go back and try other food and drinks.
We stopped by for a quick bite since we saw it was opened. Here’s their takoyaki, popcorn chicken spicy, and jalapeño fries. Popcorn chicken was nicely seasoned and not burn your tongue spicy, takoyaki was cooked through and had its signature creaminess, and the fries were a bit salty but you can fix that with a drink. The wait was not long or short and service was great. I will have to come back for drinks soon.
Absolute amazing drink that was quenched my thirst with fruit at the end to top it off, well done. Definitely will be back to try the other drinks!Service: 5/5
Quick good service and a nice place to studyFood: 5/5
Waited over half an hour for our drinks… They need to be more efficient or else hire more employees.
