Story

Our specific store is ran by the Lewiston based Happy Day Restaurants. Be sure to check out http://www.happydayrestaurants.com. For some A&W history keep on reading. Established in 1919 It all started in the small town of Lodi California when Roy Allen (A) opened up a small roadside stand, with his new root beer, for returning veterans. With the success he partnered with Frank Wright (&W). By 1933 they had more than 170 outlets, including the first drive-ins. It is considered by many to be the first ever fast food restaurant. In 1963 they released the first Bacon Cheeseburger becoming a huge hit. In 1971 they released the first canned version of A&W becoming an instant hit. To this day you can still enjoy our fresh in-store made root beer and our 100% U.S. steak burgers.

I give it a 2 star rating only because the employees were nice & polite. The food however rated at the bottom of my edible list. We went in for breakfast and I had a terrible bacon egg and cheese biscuit, both othe bacon and the biscuit were undercooked..  stick to floats...it's what they do best.

I went here about a week ago and I  really enjoyed my corn dogs and root beer. The corn dog nuggets were perfectly crispy and always the right temperature.  I will definitely be back as A&W has the best root beer in town.

They got my order wrong, but quickly made it right by providing me the things they missed on my order for free. The inside was a bit of a mess and they needed more clean tables. The food was excellent though!

After the Renaissance Fair we stop by to have late afternoon lunch. Root beers are out of this world... yummy. Not to many fast food places that serve cheese curds. Great food, great service!!

A&W - five stars 
This fast food restaurant is surprisingly delicious. They specialize in delicious burgers and root beer floats. That root beer float is really something- I would recommend that to everyone. The manager and the staff are very kind, professional, and prompt. The best place for quality fast food in Moscow is this A&W. Keep up the good work!
