I had an emergency the car was overheating.  They worked all day to figure out what the problem was.  Ray, the Manager couldn't have been nicer. I was stuck there with my puppy and we felt like family.  They fixed the problem and the car is running great!  Everyone there was just so nice.
I would highly recommend Aamco to everyone.  I felt they were genuine and the service was impeccable.

I’m a long time customer of this AAMCO.  Pat and Ray have treated me honestly and saved me money.  Seeing the number of 5 star comments here, I see a lot of people feel the same way. Regarding the 1 star comment, Mr Mitrow, insurance companies settle because they don’t want the expense of going to court, it doesn’t mean anyone admits guilt.  Don’t be so naïve.   This is a good repair shop and I always recommend them.

I was traveling from my home in Massachusetts to Disney World with my 2 children when my van started shaking and the check engine light came on while I was driving on the New Jersey Turnpike. In a panic I pulled off the next exit and saw an AAMCO sign. As I pulled up to the store they were closing for the day.  I explained my situation to the manager who was in the process of locking up.  He was very friendly and said he would try to help. He put his machine on the car and checked the engine light. After he checked the car out he found out I needed an ignition coil. Luckily there was a part store local to them. He changed the part and it fixed the problem. I am very thankful of the employees who stayed to fix my car after they closed on Saturday. As I am sure the staff has their own families and things to do. They could of easily told me they were closed and then I wouldn't of known what to do.  I wanted to take the time to write this review to let other people know about  the good people that work at AAMCO in Carteret NJ. If I lived in New Jersey this would surely be my mechanic shop.  Thank you!

I wouldn't use this place if it was the last place standing .. They didn't fix my car correctly and it caught on fire.. His insurance company took full responsibility and paid the claim.. The inconvenience that created was absurd.. They the son calls us up being we stopped our charge being rude... How doe expect to get paid for something when you didn't fix it right creating a car to catch on fire.. And dont say it wasn't your fault cause your insurance company paid the entire claiming accepting full responsibility.. Until you accept responsibility for your mistakes I wouldn't trust you to fix or try to help any customer..
