One of the best Beef Tehari I've ever tried. The Rosho-golla, and Sweet Dahi beats any Bangladeshi restaurant in New York City. This restaurant is a Bangladeshi gem in Philadelphia. The owners were super humble and sincere. Highly recommended for anyone who's craving Bangladeshi food.
Aban Sweets & Restaurant is a local restaurant in Upper Darby neighborhood. It’s at the corner of 69th and Marshal Road. It’s a small yet wonderful store for delicious Bangladeshi Sweets and some popular Indian dishes. They don’t have dine-in facilities but you can order for any item over the phone and they have catering service too. Their speciality is home made sweets which is great in taste and delicious! You can visit the store and see what they have to offer and I am sure you will like their menu items. I wish they had more space so that we could regularly visit them and enjoy their food on a regular basis. Wish them all the very best for their business success
This place is newly opened and they have been impressive so far with their service and food. You will get the authentic taste in their quite diverse collection of Bangladeshi and Indian sweets. Also their chicken and beef Biriyani are pretty good and among the best in Philadelphia area in my opinion. The prices are very reasonable as well.
I found a new ethnic culinary excursion without leaving Upper Darby. I was introduced to Aban Sweets while being apart of a group meeting with Sheikh Siddique. Boy was the food so tasty. The owners were ecstatic to give me samples of the various dishes. I really loved the boiled egg that was pan fried in a batter. I also enjoyed my beef platter with rice and salad. The black beans were tasty as well. I've been back here a couple of times and will continue to come as long as I can get an ample amount the white sauce regardless of what I order. I don't mind paying extra for the sauce.
Great place to eat! The owner of the store Raj is a great person as well! I ordered a tray of chicken biryani, garlic and regular naan for 15 guest. When I went to go pick up the food he mentioned how he had given extra Chicken and rice that would feed a party of 30! Everyone in the party LOVED the food! If your ever planning on a party cater with Raj you won’t be disappointed! The food is delicious and the service is great! White sauce on the side is recommended PS- if you have any food allergies let him know in advance and he will make sure it isn’t apart or the ingredients. My wife is allergic to peanuts and all kinds of nuts. When I mentioned it to him he made sure it was taken care of!
The food quality is amazing! All the meat served is halal and the chicken over rice tasted really great! The owner is so friendly and she made deshi pitha on my request like dudh puli, dudh chitoi and vapa pitha and trust me they taste out of the world! Her chotpoti and fuchka is outstanding too! She agreed to make Shami kabab, chicken samosa, kolija shingara! I only wish I could find this place earlier! Can’t stop going to the restaurant multiple times a week simply love the food
The Jalebi was soft and lost its crunch within 1 day. It was also doughy and not to my preference, with burnt bits at the bottom. I would NOT recommend the Jalebi. The Misti Doi sweet yogurt was good and tasty , I would recommend that. Lastly we got the Roshgullah, it was so so. The flavour was good but the texture was inconsistent, soft on the outside and a hard center.
Biriyani is really good. All sweets and Doiyogurt made in house, can't compare with any other places. Recommended, who wants really good Bangladeshi food.
WORST SWEETS EVER!! They took a party order to prepare Kachagolla for 150 people. The sweets that ware delivered were not kachagolla! They had no channacheese in them. They were lumps made of sooji and flourmaida. They ruined my party and should be out of business. If I could give them negetive starts I would do it.
I wish I could give them 0 star. They have no idea how to make sweets. Where are you guys from? Do you have any knowledge about mishti??? The items called Lalmohon, khalojaam made with flour and sugar syrup. Same ingredients but different name. Very disgusting. First learn how to make deshi mishti then do business. I just put my money in the GARBAGE.
