Came here for wings and a beer with a few buddies and was extremely disappointed. I strongly suggested this place, due to the amazing wings at the location in Apex. Come to find out, not the same owners...and it shows. We sat at the bar and the guy tending was very attentive. We didn't have to wait at all for a refill. All but one in the group ordered grilled wings, he ordered the traditional fried. The lone fried wing order, came out grilled. All the wings were completely charred, burnt on one side. We all dealt with it, as we don't like sending food back. They tasted like they were fried and then grilled. They were TERRIBLE. One ordered ranch, got blue cheese... I mentioned to the bartender after we finished how he was good, not letting us wait for refills, but the wings were the worst we had all ever had and his response was simply, "sorry they were really busy in the kitchen." I would take a hard pass on ever returning here. I'll make the long drive to Apex every time. If you are looking for wings, go to the Apex Abbey Road, they are AMAZING! We were going to turn that into our monthly meet up for our group meetings, but wouldn't return. The burnt side of each wing, was conveniently turned down, so it wouldnt be seen to anyone just glancing at it. So that was a shady kitchen staff move....and then the bartender didn't care to personally try to make it right or involve any management. That place seems to be poor from top to bottom, front of the house to the back.
Service was great, interior looks like a wood cabin with some memorabilia and the food was not to our liking. My steak tacos were super bland and dry, not seasoned at all. I had to ask for lime wedges to give it some flavor. My husband's chicken wings were slightly gelatinous and he asked for crispy. Our friends fish and chips was also bland. Not for us.
Great experience! Went tonight for the Sally and snakes event and from the moment we were greeted to leaving everyone was curtious and friendly. Food was excellent as well! Everything came out fresh and hot. Good size portions and very fair prices. Will definitely come back again!Food: 5/5
Solid place for bar food. Chicken salad sandwich had solid flavor, nothing was bland so that was a plus. I enjoyed the pasta salad as well. I'd recommend a Mt Olive spear pickle with the sandwich. Bartender was nice, service was quick. Cost was extremely reasonable. Back room had pool tables and a few gambling machines. The bar was set too high. I'm not a short man but I felt like a hobbit sitting at that bar. The live music started strong then took a deep dive. A note to the one singer. Less is more. No need to yell into the microphone or try and Christina Aguilar the song when you're not Christina. Softer and less flair would have been nice, but as it was, I wanted to get out of there as soon as I could to save my ears. Overall, if I was in the neighborhood, I'd go again but wouldn't go far out of my way for it and certainly won't be coming during the live music nights. Parking: Nice to see veteran parking Wheelchair accessibility: No issue for wheelchairs
Really good food. I had the Ruben and tots, probably the best tots I've ever had. The Ruben was good, but being from Wisconsin I'm biased. For NC I felt they have an extensive beer selection, which I was very happy about. I will be back!Food: 4/5
The restaurant is clean and well maintained. Service was prompt and courteous. I ordered the PO box shrimp sandwich and homemade chips with ranch. My husband had the Ringo burger with the black bean burger substituted. He also had okra. Both of us found our buns extremely dry. The shrimp and sauce were good and my husband's burger and fries mushrooms and cheese were good. We both enjoyed our drinks. He had a blue moon on draft and I had a Blackberry Palomino. We both enjoyed our drinks. Service was great.
My wife and I went here for the first time and ordered red oak beer, it tasted funny so our server switched them out quickly and gave us something different. The shrimp basket buffalo style was delicious as was the Mac and cheese. Love the many tvs and the pinball machines. Took us back to a simpler time.Food: 5/5
Have been a pretty loyal and consistent patron but was pretty annoyed with them sending out wings looking like this. Definitely tasted old and then refried.Food: 1/5
Everything was overcooked except for the burger, which was ordered medium, and most of it was closer to rare. The hush puppies were hard as rocks. Okra tasted stale and overcooked. French fries were disgusting. Pizza was burnt. The manager did talk to us after, but we spent $90+ on food that wasn't edible, and almost all of it was left on the plates.
Food was great and came out hot even during busy time on a Friday afternoon. Staff was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was great especially if you like the music theme.Food: 4/5
