I posted this on Yelp, but I thought I would share it here as well: When it comes down to rating Abel’s Transmission, you have to evaluate the quality of service and also realize who are the individuals or low lives running the business. If I could give zero stars, I would but Yelp only has 1 star. It’s run by Abel and Olivia Medellin and it’s a business that gets it parts from Mexico for cheap and they charge you an arm and a leg. The couple just wants to profit and provide the least possible service. I have heard more than enough personal experiences reflecting that Abel doesn’t know what he is doing and he takes advantages of customers. Don’t get fooled by their smiles. If I were you, don’t come here to get your car fixed and read the other reviews. Negative reviews mean a lot. The business is called Abel’s Transmission but who is Abel – he is a lying and cheating individual. What makes a good mechanic or good business person is honest, trustworthy, and caring for your employees and your customers. For those customers who might want to know the mechanic who will be fixing your car on a more personable level, the mechanic Abel has been called: selfish, cheap, a Sancho, dishonest, and someone who should really rot in depths of the earth. How do you live with yourself knowing you are profiting of from shoddy work and parts? Don’t take your cars here to get fixed – there are more trustworthy, caring, and honest mechanics in Baldwin Park and nearby cities.

I needed a fuel pump and called 3 different places. 1- said $600-800 2-said $500-550 3 -said $340-360. I paid $361 I would definitely go there again.

I took my 2008 toyota corolla for a checkup, its been awhile since i got it fully serviced. The prices are reasonable and service was professional. Above and beyond. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

---please disregard------->I am not a fan of taking my vehicles to mechanics because of the hustle. Here at Able's, they will diagnose the issue(s), let you know cost, repair time and then take care of it. My vehicle had a few things going on with it and I was unprepared to take care of the cost in full. So they were able to recommend which repair had priority. That made me feel good seeing how I am not a mechanic to make those kind of calls. My repairs are now being handled in stages. Even the lady (Olivia) on the phone knows her stuff!! I am glad that I found Able's Transmissions, our new repair shop! Check them out for yourself! //////////// *************** DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!************************* Well, all above was before they worked on our other vehicle....I said I wasn't a fan of taking my vehicles to mechanics, and it is true once again....right after spending over $2,000 in repairs, my vehicle runs worse. I called and told them what it was doing then took it back. They had it for 3 more days, after having for two weeks. Then they told me that nothing was wrong with it. So needless to say our family vehicle is down for the summer!! what a bummer, now we have to take it to another mechanic. THANKS FOR NOTHING ABEL & OLIVIA!!

I Love the service there at Abel's. I've been going there for about 18 years. I would not take it any where else. My entire Family son, daughter n my mom also take their cars there. Also I do tell my Friends about Abel's. At Abel's their Honest n Fair the prices are GREAT. They explain it so well what is wrong my car.
