So much fun to try the 5 teas that were poured into the harbor! Although the smell of one tea was so bad I didn't dare try it. There are places on either side where you can pour out the tea if you don't care for it. The clam chowder and scones are also really tasty. Perfect stop for a treat after the museum tour!Food: 4/5
This is a MUST STOP for anyone that is wanting to check out the local area. This place is so fun! They have out all 5 of the most common teas from the era and you get to drink all the tea you want for a small charge. They also have a Sam Adams whiskey flight for under $20 and that is killer also. If you are in the area and want to check out a cool place with a little bit of a history lesson, i say you should stop. The tea is amazing, the service is great and the whiskey was fantastic!
After the historical tour @bostonteapartyships, we went to Abigail's Tea Room and for $3.99 get a mug to try the historic teas thrown overboard back at the Boston Tea Party. There were 2 green teas: Singlo and Young Hyson Green Tea. The Bohea is similar to Lipton Tea. Congou was a little heavier. Then Souchong was from Fujian province, where my family is from. It was like smoky charcoal to smell and taste. What a budget way to enjoy and learn history!
Tasting the 5 teas was a good experience. I suggest taking a picture of the description of the tea, then reading it at a table. This allows for everyone to read at their own speed without collecting a line.Food: 4/5
Long layover to Paris so touring the city of Boston was an amazing adventure. Came across the tea house with the most amazing journey. Tasted the 5 teas during the famous Boston Tea Party including a self-guided tour of the city scenery. I’m always thankful and excited for new experience. This place is awesome. Had a fantastic tea party time. LOL.
Amazing team and very helpful! I’ve just had my breakfast with my husband and we lost our bag where we have all our money and passports..the team was so supportive and friendly that we could find our bag with all its content. Nevertheless, the atmosphere is amazing here and the coffee is yummy first time I tasted such delicious cappuccino ..thanks a lot Abigail team and happy new year!
Thinking about experience - the Boston Tea Party! Tea itself should've been better, though. Nevertheless, $9 with gifted tea cap, listening story from the YouTube sitting comfortably while drinking tea is absolutely worth it!
The location would have great potential to be a spectacular tea room. Unfortunately they made it more like a fast food cafe with self service and pre packed snacks. Yeah the price is pretty cheap but the experience is cheap too. It’s a shame what they made out of a historical place.
Firstly, get the whole tour package - the ship experience et al. They do an amazing job of giving visitors an immersive experience. The tea room offers great views of the harbour and ships. You can get a tea tasting with various teas, including the types of tea the colonists would have enjoyed had they not thrown them into the water. There is also an afternoon tea, complete with scones and cream - very reasonably priced. All in all, a great experience!
Lovely setting for an afternoon tea. Pay for your cuppa, get a cup. And try up to 5 different teas. Also some lovely tea cakes on offer. Lovely gift shop. Also good views of the boats and along the river.
