The only reason I gave this specific store two stars as opposed to one is the cleanliness of the store. Other than that, the staff are virtually fairly robotic and not very friendly, not to mention unprofessional. The customer service shouts across isles at each other making the experience fairly uncomfortable. When in the firearms department, I made eye contact with the sales person multiple times with so much as a head nod or greeting of any sort. I was there with money in hand to buy a firearm but walked out empty handed. Might I mention I was the only one at the counter. That's right, he would make eye contact with me and just walk off. How do you do that to your only customer!? Academy missed out on a $500 purchase that day. Bottom line, great physical store, extremely poor people running it.

Update 3/31/18. Now that I'm boycotting anti-American rights stores, Academy has more of my business.  Other sporting good stores, that are anti 2nd Amendment, have lost me as a customer. 
Good prices, Happen to have what we needed in the football section. Store was kinda messy though.

This Academy Sports has a large selection of equipment from exercise to grilling to gun and fishing. They also have wide variety of athletic clothing and shoes. The store is clean and we'll stocked and has friendly staff and helpful staff.

My family and I love Academy! We habe bought multiple firearms here and all our archery accessories and camo. They have great gifts for any time of year and a great selection for sports. We buy our son's baseball gear as well and they have great deals on top name bats. I highly suggest Academy for any of your sports and outdoor needs.

New store in good location! Customer service is good, and the prices are better than most other sporting goods stores.
