This place may do good framing, but I guess I'll never know. They seem to be constantly changing their hours...they used to be listed as 9-6, so I showed up at about 9:40 only to discover that they didn't actually open till 10:00. So I waited around until 10:15, they never showed up.

There was also a sign in the door saying "closed on fridays till further notice". wtf.

Now their hours are noon till 6:00. Except for Mondays, when they're closed.

I can not begin to tell you how excellent this company is and how wonderful they were to work with.  They went way over and beyond anything that I would have imagined to help me through a quick turnaround.  Living in another state and coming to Washington for a few days, I brought a painting that I needed to have framed.  I worked with the owner, Alan over the phone prior to my trip.  We had many conversations about framing, mats, glass etc.  I emailed him a picture of what it was I wanted to have framed so he could converse with me better.

My finished picture was 40x50 so this was not an easy task.  Alan made numerous phone calls to suppliers of products I looked at in my home town to get the same thing for me delivered to his store.  

Some of them were not available and he made substitutions based on our conversations, I trusted him and gave him the go ahead, Sight unseen on my part.  Due to our conversations I felt confident he would not steer me in the wrong direction.  He pulled rabbits out of hats and made this a totally awesome experience on my part and put all the stress and worry in his court.  Thus allowing me to enjoy my brief visit in Seattle with friends and even DELIVERED my picture to the people I was visiting. 

It was a complete surprise to everyone there as I am the one that painted the picture.  The mats, frame and glass made this picture PERFECT.  I could not have done it without his help, leg work, and numerous phone calls.

I would drive across town at any given day to give them my business.

I had a picture which had been damaged and it was beautifully repaired.  Later I purchased 2 mirrors, one which was specifically made to my liking.  I had wonderful help from the ladies whom work there and from the owner. I got gorgeous, high quality mirrors for the price with superb, caring help. Another similar shop personnel even told me I got a great deal!

We have taken multiple projects to Ace, and they are so great with helping figure out the best frame for the job.  My husband had an antique picture that he wanted framed, and Al, the owner, was able to find a frame that was historically correct for the type of picture it was.  My husband was blown away when he got it, tears in his eyes!!!  

I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a professional, courteous and competitively priced framed.

Ace Frames is a really great framer. I have had several art pieces matted and framed and they have done such a nice job. Alan's customer service is the best, he always gets them done before they are due and then calls me to let me know I can pick them up early! I highly recommend him.
