A pawn-shop loan is a small loan for a duration of 30 days. The loan is placed against an item of value, and the said item is held by the pawn institution until the loan and small interest fee is paid in full within the 30 day period. A finance charge may also be paid within the 30 day period that will extend the loan for another 30 days.
