My wife and I had a breech baby that required c-section. Dr. La Grand delivered him very gently and my wife is moving normally with very little pain after 6 days. Even though we didn't plan for c-section, we couldn't be happier with how the surgery was performed. Dr. La Grand was very caring and comforting the whole time and we will be using him and his office through Spectrum for every pregnancy in the future as long as we are in Grand Rapids.

I have been a patient with Dr. LaGrand and his team for 12+ years. I have seen John LaGrand for multiple reasons over the past 12 years and have always felt that he listens to me and I am never afraid to ask questions. He is an excellent physician and surgeon and has a great sense of humor as well. I have also met several of the nurses, midwives, ultrasound techs, and front desk staff who work with Dr. LaGrand. The staff is always very kind and personable, knowledgeable and answer all of my questions, and I never have to wait long to be seen. I would highly recommend Advanced OBGYN and Dr. LaGrand to anyone looking for an OB doctor.

All I can say is AMAZING!! He truly treats every patient like his only patient. Spends time talking with you and answers all of your questions. For anyone doing a c section, he is incredible and he spent extra time in surgery with the stitches and even improved my scar from my precious one! Can't say enough about how great he is!!

Dr. Lagrand and his entire staff are the best. I have been to several Doctors in the area and is by far the best, the kindest, EXCELLENT bedside manner and actually takes time to listen to YOU and able to explain every and anything you can ask him and draws diagrams!! He is the absolute best.
