I am very disappointed in my recent service visit from Advanced Pool & Spa Service. They provided terrible service. First, they didn't make an appointment, didn't call ahead to let me know they were on the way, and didn't even ring the doorbell when they arrived. I was home the whole day but the only reason I knew they were on my property is because I heard my dog barking in the backyard and then looked out the back window and saw two strange men (not in uniforms) messing with my pool pump. I walked outside and they didn't introduce themselves. I had to ask who they were and why they were by my pool. The first guy, Scott, was on the phone with someone else and was extremely rude to me the entire time. The second guy, Kenny, just walked around holding a bag of tools and didn't say a word. Scott claimed my pool pump needed a new gasket because it was leaking and noisy and I told him there was nothing wrong at all with my pool pump - it worked fine - and the reason I called for service is because my spa pump wasn't working. Essentially, Scott had been looking at the wrong equipment and tried to sell something I didn't need. Scott claimed his notes mentioned a request for the pool pump, but if he would have called first to set up an appointment or confirm the details of the service request, then he would have learned the real problem. Once I directed him to the spa on the other side of my backyard, Scott didn't even diagnose or fix the spa problem. Instead, he kept asking me multiple times if I have spa coverage through my home warranty company (which I do have spa coverage) and seemed lazy like he didn't want to do the work. Scott then claimed there was no access to the spa even though there is plenty of room underneath the deck to access the spa on all four sides. I told him that other companies have been out to service the spa in the past and they never had a problem accessing it, and then Scott screamed at me "But we don't do that!" He didn't even try to fix the problem and simply said it wouldn't be covered under the home warranty. He stayed less than 10 minutes. He didn't even bother to put the cover back on the top of the spa before he left. I was then charged $75 for the 10 minutes they were here even though they didn't fix anything. I can't believe my home warranty company (American Home Shield) would use this company. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would not want them working anywhere near my pool or spa. I'm not surprised this company has such bad reviews all over the internet. Stay away. I want a refund of my $75 service charge.

I was put in contact with Advanced Pool & Spa through my home warranty company regarding a claim with my pool heater. Scott showed up late for the appointment and told me the heater would be covered and replaced, but it would cost me approximately $275 in upgrade fees. The following week I was contacted by Caroline and she quoted me a price of $900 for the upgrade fees. I made several request over the following week for them to email me a bid & description of the work that needed to be performed. Finally this morning I got a call back from Scott. He told me I must have misunderstood him about the original quote of $275. (I should note when he was at my house originally, he was on the phone the entire time holding to speak with the IRS) I made another request for a bid to be sent and he rudely stated he would not send anything and in fact the cost would probably be over $900 because electrical would need to be upgraded too. I responded that I found it hard to believe they do not provide bids on any jobs. Scott replied "dude, I've been doing this 17 years". I asked that he be professional and not call me dude and that's when Scott said he would cancel the dispatch request through my home warranty company and I could have someone else replace the pool heater. My recommendation is to avoid this company at all cost.

I was sent to this company through my home warranty for a broken heater. The owner, Scott, told me it wasn't the heater, but an electrical problem. We had that fixed and the heater still didn't work. He then had me replace my filter system (at a price tag of $1250 which I had to pay as home warranty did not) and the heater still didn't work. I let them know and promised Scott would come out and he never showed up and then faked a "family emergency." I even hired them for my weekly maintenance. They are unprofessional and incompetent. Stay away.

Very unprofessional. Entered property without permission. Never introduced themselves. Didn't have any test equipment. Said they were busy and had 10 more pools to get to. Diagnosis was incorrect and verified by a pool supply company. Total waste of my time and money.

TERRIBLE experience.. They are contracted through my home warranty company. I spoke with their office last Friday when they were dispatched on a claim. We set an appointment of today. I had also spoken with the girl in the office about utilizing them for my pool opening and maintenance, apart from the home warranty work. She gave me a quote and said she'd call Monday. I did not hear from them Monday. Tuesday I began leaving messages daily. It wasn't until this morning that Scott called back and basically made it out that I had no such conversation, that no appointment was made and they must not have had good contact info (even though I had an entire conversation with Carolyn). He was rude, dismissive, and defensive and wanted to blame their poor customer service on me. I would NOT advise when you are paying the kind of money it takes to maintain your pool or spa, that you deal with this company
