I know my feelings may not matter but I would be remiss if I did not let you know how disappointed I am with your company. My boyfriend and I were interested in a house in Naugatuck, 42 Woodside Dr. My boyfriend saw the house with Brian. We wanted to put in a bid. I found Brian to not really know what he was doing or talking about. We have never attempted to purchase a HUD home before and I had some reservations and questions. We have been looking in the Naugatuck area since August of last year, so I have become pretty knowledgeable about the market. I became uneasy with Brian when there was no contract to sign or earnest money to provide. After the initial bid was rejected; Brian said the lowest price they will go is $214,000...we knew we could not afford this (plus closing costs and repairs). I then asked Brian about HUD paying closing costs and Real Estate Commission. He said no they don't do that, but I clearly see this on HUD's website...then he said we would take that up with our mortgage people once the bid was accepted. This does not make sense to me b/c an offer of $200,000 and we pay closing costs is very different then $200,000 and HUD pays closing costs. I told we wanted to put an offer of $190,000 and he said that there is no way the bank would accept this offer and they would not even come back to us with a counter. He got argumentative with me ad even hug up on me at one point. So, I said fine we'll wait two weeks and let the price drop. Well I was wrong, it only took one week for the price to drop. I feel if Brian was better informed we could have been better informed. And today when I asked him what the difference was btwn net price and purchase price he stated "I have no idea what you are talking about." I find this response to be unacceptable. Needless to say we will never be looking to your company again in our search for a home. On your website I do not see Brian as a realtor, is he even a realtor? A response would be much appreciated. This is an e-mail I sent to the President, Judie Caputo on 4/20, almost a month ago with still no response. If you value good customer service over the stereotypical "used car salesman" approach I suggest going elsewhere.
