I was not impressed to say the least…

I ordered my bridesmaid dress in April of 2017 for a friends October wedding. The dress had arrived in late August, and when I went in for a fitting the dress was way to short! I had specifically ordered extra length because I am almost 6 feet tall. Affairs to Remember had not ordered me the extra length even though they had charged me extra for it back in April. 

After speaking to the manager, she called the dress company and told me I was very lucky. The exact dress that my bride had picked out was already being shipped to the store in the correct color, size and length that I had needed. In my opinion, someone had realized they had screwed up with my order and instead of calling me to admit their mistake let me come in anyway for a useless appointment. I am not a sample size. They do not carry my size in the store for women to try on, so no way could the exact dress that I was looking for just coincidentally already be ordered to be a store sample.  They should have called before the appointment to inform me that the wrong dress was ordered which would have saved me time and gas money to drive 45 minutes one direction.

I was told that the new dress would arrive the first week of October not leaving a ton of time before the wedding on October 21st. I had received a call 10 days before the wedding saying my dress was in. Luckily I had already scheduled an alterations appointment to make sure they would be able to see me before the wedding. The first fitting went okay, they needed to take in the bust, and do a little hemming on the skirt. When I came back for the second appointment and final dressing fitting TWO DAYS before the wedding, the bust was still way to loose! They ended up tightening the bust while I was still in the dress because I did not have time to come back. While it felt tighter in the end, there was a bunch of loose fabric bunched by my armpits. I used about 4 safety pins to secure the top of my dress the morning of the wedding. My bust line you could clearly tell was unfinished, as it was gappy and had loose threads sticking out.  

Weddings are already hectic enough, and only picking my dress up two days before the wedding was ridiculous even though I had ordered it 6 months prior. While the employees are friendly enough, I would not recommend purchasing anything from Affairs to Remember. 10/10 chance I will not being going back.

Terrible. Picked up my dress and it was ripped! They acted like it was no big deal. No apology. Nothing. I had to wait 2 hours for the seamstress to get back from lunch so she could fix it. I'm from appleton so i was not happy. There were MANY other problems with this place for the entire wedding party. This was just my issue. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

All of the bridesmaid dresses were GIANT. I am normally a size 10 and they ordered me a size 16. The dress was falling off and needed another $130 in alterations. All 6 of us in the bridal party had this same problem....I'm guessing they order you up a couple of sizes so you need alterations and they get more money. Do not plan on going back to this place for anything
