BEWARE!! If you want to get things done right, stray away from this place! Terrible customer service. I had retained one of Angela's fellow lawyers only to find out that he was leave the firm about a month later. So my case was transferred to Angela. As soon as my case was transferred, she gave me great customer service for about three months. After that, FOR OVER A MONTH STRAIGHT, she ignored my calls, refused to return my calls and emails, etc. A MONTH LATER, I get a hold of her and express my discontent. She says she must have 'missed me' and apologized and promises to do better in the future. Okay, I accept that, things happen. After a few weeks of good communication, Angela started to have an attitude with me, and once again stopped answering my phone calls, would not respond to emails/voicemails. I had had enough! I switched lawyers only to get a $600+ bill in the mail, with $300 of that being for the months SHE AND I HAD NOT COMMUNICATED!!! EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED WITH HOW I WAS TREATED AND REPRESENTED!

Angela is awesome! She gets the job done and knows what she's doing, she was recommended to me by a family member who said she was awesome and doesn't play around. So pleased with meeting her and doing business with her! I highly recommend you seeing Angela for any court issues you may have!

Horrible experience. First off, she charges the same hourly rate as an attorney that knows family law. The only "affordable" part is the retainer which she will use. I was given the WORST advice in opening the flood gates to an abusive grandparent trying to obtain "visitation" custody rights. I came to her specifically to help me avoid that, but her suggestion was to agree to a temporary order... which I have learned from other experienced attorneys that was a HORRIBLE choice. I trusted her to protect my son and myself and she seemed on board until court. Nobody seemed to want to deal with anything at court. Angela asked me if it was really "that bad" to let the only person who subjected my son to violence and held him hostage from me as well as psychologically manipulated him in my absence spend time with my 4 year old child at court. YES IT IS THAT BAD THAT IS WHY I HIRED YOU. AND FIRED after she used all of the $1,000.00 retainer. She did not suggest to change judges (criminal law judge somehow got my family law case) and she is supposed to be knowledgeable in this profession of "Family Law." That is her first mistake. Then advising me to agree on a temp order screwed everything... I also asked on 3 separate occasions, all of which I was charged for (because attorney's charge by the hour so I was charged each time I talked to her) to ask the petitioner to absorb the costs if a GAL was appointed. NOT ONLY DID SHE NOT TELL ME A GAL WOULD BE APPOINTED IF I AGREED TO ANYTHING PER HER HORRIBLE ADVICE - SHE FAILED TO MENTION ASKING THE PETITIONER TO ABSORB THE COSTS IN COURT. I ASKED HER THREE TIMES. She seems to be very forgetful and busy. She completely screwed our lives, my son and I. As a single parent it is hard enough. Thanks to Angela Bakke and the State of Wisconsin, my son is forced court ordered to go to a psychologically unstable abusive non-parent once a month. I was granted an injunction 4 years no contact domestic violence restraining order (representing myself) from "grandma" who physically assaulted me in front of my son then held him hostage... but Angela Bakke and her advice to allow temporary visitation has LOCKED IN my son being forced to sit with the abuser. I have the legal right to dismiss as she said, but the judge who also came out saying "Grandparents should get to see grandkids thats why there are statutes" "I would rather be at my desk doing paperwork..." thinks since grandma had supervised forced visitation that it needs to continue. Angela suggested and opened the floodgates, and I was trying to protect my son from further abuse by going no contact... even with my restraining order my 4 year old is forced to sit with psycho grandma. Save your money, sanity, and chances at getting ahead in life. This is a horrible family law attorney. You will not save money, and you are better off sitting in court facing the case ALONE. I wish I did now. Now my son and I are screwed and this has made our lives complete hell... thanks to Bakke Law aka Affordable Legal Services of Wisconsin. And the opinionated biased Judge as well. HORRIBLE. RUN. Look up the State Bar or anyone else for a family attorney. ANYONE ELSE.
