Whether you are a professional chef, or a dedicated home cook, this is where you want to go for a knife if you are prepared to spend a few bucks.

Well worth checking out there knife workshops as well. I had the opportunity to check out wondering Vancouver craft month, and came away Having learned a lot.

Great selection of Japanese knives.  Very knowledgeable staff and sharpening services.  I plan on taking. Knife sharpening class here offered by the owner one night a week.  They Sharpened my kitchen knives as well as taught me about the different grades of carbon steel and the benefits and drawbacks of different knives and steel types .  Very happy with service will return

Bought my Damascus knives here. Been eying them for a long time. Doug is awesome and the lady that works there (arg forgot her name) is absolutely amazing and knows her knives. Highly recommend, and support local!

Beautiful store with quality product sold by someone who cares and loves Japanese knives. If you want to try your hand at some great Japanese steel, this is the place to check out. Once you've got that sharp edge, also inquire about sharpening classes to keep that edge honed.

Excellent place to find artisanal Japanese knives and other high quality kitchen wares. The space itself is elegant and minimalist, in tune with the types of equipment inside. Large windows allow lots of natural light and allow passers by to watch Chef Douglas sharpen knives. Who, by the way, is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of knives from construction to technique to maintenance. A luxury experience by all means. You definitely get what you pay for. But if they aren't exactly within your price range, the visit itself is a worthwhile detour.
