Our family recenty did the Behind the Gates - Early Space Tour.  It was a great experience.  Our 15-year-old son who is a history buff really enjoyed!  Our 8-year-old daughter was also very intrigued and not bored at all!  It was an exceptional tour, and we were blessed to have Robert Graveline as our guide.  His knowledge & personal stories at this historic museum were priceless.  I would highly recommend taking an afternoon to see a piece of space history!   Please note because you are going on an active Air Force base, you need to go through extra security.  It wasn't "clearly" defined, and we almost missed the bus tour because of not being properly checked-in.  If you purchase a Behind the Gates tour, you need to wait in long lines when you first arrive at the Kennedy Space Center to make sure you are clear to go on the tour.  In my opinion, on a level of 1-10, the KSC team handled at about a 4.  That was a little discouraging for busy families on the go who don't have time to read all of the fine print or wait in long lines.  However, the bus driver, bus guide & Mr. Graveline more than made up for the incident after we departed from the KSC.

Really enjoyed going to the museum. When your there everything is so much bigger then you realize with rockets!
