Great local place to catch up with friends, get a drink or a bite to eat. Their sandwiches are MASSIVE and will definitely fill you up! If you have not been I would suggest at minimum order carry out and try one of these Signature sandwiches!Dine in: YesTakeout: YesDelivery: NoCurbside pickup: No
Was referred to this place by a budtender at Vibe, because I was in from out of state. We looked up the menu on the website before going. When we walked in we weren't sure if we should seat ourselves or what. So we took a seat. Took about 15 minutes to be acknowledged but they were slightly busy. The place is very dim inside, there was a bucket near our table, near the kitchen as the ceiling is leaking. We were looking forward to ordering the Turkey Pesto and we saw on the online menu but it was not available on the in house menu. We ordered the pulled pork and the philly steak and cheese with Cajun fries. The food was absolutely amazing. Huge portions and delicious! The inside of the establishment could use a makeover but you should go for the food!!
Expect HUGE portions... the only reason I didn't give them 5 stars on food. Friendly staff and food was typical bar and grill variety. The grilled cheese was the size of TWO... AND 5 X 10"! No chips only fries and they're an add on.Food: 4/5
Its been 20 years since I have been to to Wheat and Rye. It was 1000% better back then. My wife and I walked in. 4 tables had costumers on them and the rest of the tables were empty but the tables was full of dishes. We found a table with the lease amount of dishes. there was 1 bar tender, no waitress for about 10 minutes. We can see and hear the people in the kitchen talking, playing and swearing. We got up and walked out. I think this is the worst restaurant I have ever been too. On the way out we saw 2 waitress on the patio smoking. They saw us come in and out. But they did not care. Its to bad it lost it greatness. It was one of the best. I don't know how they got a 4.1 rating.
This my go to spot that's close to work and home. I used to recommend it all the time when someone was looking for a good sports bar. It's not actually at the Detroit Airport but about 2 miles away. Great place to eat at if you stay close by at one of the hotels. Their staff is friendly and welcoming. They are known for their HUGE sandwich and burgers. Lots of space, big projector to play sports games along with other TV's. They have an outside patio as well. Music is always playing and it's an overall positive atmosphere.
Really wish you could leave no stars! We walked in sat down and after 20 minutes of waiting and a waitress looking at us numerous times my husband had to go up to the bar and ask if there was a waitress. The girl asked where we were sitting and he told her over there where you looked at us 3 times. She responded by telling him oh that section is closed can you move to a high top? He told her we picked the bench because we have a toddler with us. Then she asked if we could sit at a low table. He explained again we had a toddler and needed the bench. I guess just our table was closed because there were a group of guys behind us to the left and a couple ladies behind us to the right. The place was dirty, table was sticky and nasty, other tables were dirty as well. I completely understand if sections are closed but any decent place would have signs up or have someone come right over and tell people. Not have them sit for 20 mins until they get up to ask for a waitress themselves. We ended up leaving because of this and her attitude.
After having a waitress who seemed more interested in socializing with friends and going on smoke breaks. We received semi-cold food. While the proportions were large the bun was stale. Sadly this took away from enjoying the meal. The fries were okay at least. The atmosphere was typical bar scene, we were unfortunately near the games. A younger child was being fed money to continually lose at the dart board. A few landed on our table. I don't think we'll be heading back anytime soon.
I love this place great food good vibes I always I have great time here I definitely recommend it.
Food was decent. Super busy and had to flag waitress down anytime our group needed something
This was one of the worst take out experiences. I ordered at 7:09 pm, simple order one burger medium, two orders of fish and chips. Told 15 minutes. Great! show up and pay. Received food at 7:58 pm. No one said anything about a delay until our food was delivered. If we hadn’t already paid would have walked out. Fish and chips were hot fresh. Burger was cold cheese congealed and bottom bun saturated with grease.
