I love Akel's Deli. I stop by every day to get a tea and to speak with Hannah, the girl at the register - short dark hair, curly bob, Jason, Caroline and Mike. The food is great but the employees are even better. I have grown very fond of these wonderful people.
I just tried getting lunch at this place and I didn't see a wrap on the menu, so I asked the girl at the register short dark hair, curly bob. She then nodded her head without saying anything, turned toward me and gave me a look with a slight grin, like I was dumb for asking. I kind of snickered in frustration and then asked her what kind? She then asked me what kind you want? I then decided at that point to walk out before I said anything to this rude person. I wasn't going to give this place my money if this the type of people they are hiring to represent their facility. So disappointing to get treated like this. Hire someone with customer service skills. To the girl behind the register, get a new job if you don't like the one you have and you end up treating people like this.
Their food is always consistently amazing. The 3 Wise Guys sandwich is perfection, and their egg cheese and bacon breakfast wraps are the best. Prices are reasonable for the great food you get, and great customer service - they are always helpful and friendly. I definitely would recommend!
Have been here a few times and the quality of food is good, it’s fairly clean inside, fast service, and the prices are reasonable.
I hope everyone in the world has a place like Akel's Deli. Having a place with a menu of items that are both familiar and delicious is a great comfort. Nothing fancy, always filling and healthy. An environment that you can chat with a coworker in, or watch the tube while you eat before work alone and be comfortable. The staff are kind and accommodating and always do their best to make you feel welcomed. I will be eating falafel at Akel's as long as they'll let me in the door! Lol.
Always enjoy breakfast here. Food is made fresh when ordered. Staff is super nice
Not sure what Melinda's problem is...but I always get GREAT Customer Service with excellent menu selections.
This is a nice little deli with good food. I like that it has some outdoor seating but it’s certainly not a place you go for the ambience. This is a spot to grab a quick meal on the lunch break. That’s it’s purpose. I had a gyro the other day and it was good.
Best deli along the south bank. Food is great but the customer service is AWESOME! Support them!
The most delicious cheesesteak sub EVER! Add lettuce, tomato and mayo sometimes to take it to the next level. And the good people at this location are the BEST!
