I was pleasantly surprised with the take out food I got from here. The sushi pizza was on point! I loved the “special sauce” and the scallion pancake base! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever had before.  The sushi rolls are really good as well and they are quite large. I got 3 different specialty rolls and could not finish. The vegetable spring rolls were really good as well, and everything came very nicely packaged for delivery.

Traditional Japanese eatery. They have ample seating for your meetings, and they also have an option where you can eat by yourself without being bothered. The prices are reasonable. Best of all you don't need a reservation to come enjoy some excellent Japanese cuisine! The people here are super friendly and the atmosphere is very peaceful and spacious.

We went to Aki for my bf’s birthday after we couldn’t make it for a reservation at another restaurant. I saw some of the negative reviews on Yelp but after dining here, I honestly don’t understand how they have a bad rating! The service was amazing, the waitress sadly I didn’t get her name was really energetic, very polite and just great. The food was fresh and so yummy! Sashimi and sushi was spot on. The General Tao’s Chicken was delicious, my bf finds a lot of places don’t get the sauce right or the texture is odd but Aki has the recipe to perfection. Price is reasonable.  Also the waitress was more than happy to help me put the cake in the fridge, take it out with candles prepared and the custom topper I bought. In the rush of getting the cake and everything I had forgot candles and lighter, thankfully Aki had some on hand. You’re a lifesaver!  The only cons I would have is that the restaurant was a bit cold- our table was right next to the door so it would be expected. And the bubble tea was more of a slush with a lot of tiny crushed ice, bubbles were a bit hard. But for $4 and convenience, not bad. All in all it was a lovely dining experience. Very glad we found this place, would come here again if I’m in the area.  Tips for parking! Street parking was hard to find and we arrived around 5pm on a Friday, Glenwood Garage is just around the corner next to the Buy-Rite Wine & Liquor store. It’s a 2 min walk from the restaurant. It was only $1 a hr unheard of?? Cheapest parking I’ve ever seen lol and for 2 hrs max. But additional is $1 per hr I believe? Not sure tbh. We stayed just slightly over and it only charged me $2. Lots of parking spots available.  For those who are curious the cake is “Rouge Noir” from Delice Macarons in Cranford. Dark chocolate & raspberry. Custom topper is from GoldenTopper on Etsy. So good!

We ordered 1 caterpillar roll and 1 dynamite roll through Uber eats. I did not like it.  Reasons: 1. Way too small of a portion for the amount of money we have paid for our Uber eats order 2. The ingredients are not the freshest - as shown on the first picture. 3. The deep fried roll is doughy and soggy, instead of being crispy. 4. I ordered two rolls, and only one pair of chopsticks came. No napkins.  In short, would not order from here again

We have had the hibachi before and loved it. Today we got the Dragon roll and shrimp tempura roll. It was very good. Really pleasant staff and good options.

I have been going off and on for several years. The cuisine is excellent and the service is very excellent. I particularly like the Bento Box for lunch and just today had a nice sushi,sashimi combo as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Aki House!

Doordashed 2 rolls, mango shrimp and spider rolls, average taste but unexpected expensive! $28 in total! And only 5 pieces for the spider roll as $15. NYC price with only an average taste, highly NOT recommended!

When I moved to the area, this was one of the first restaurants I went to. Now I order & still go in person when I can. I ordered the roast pork bun, Valentine roll & hibachi steak. Everything was well prepared & very tasty! It’s one of my favorite restaurants in the area & I constantly recommend to friends & family!

The service was very friendly and conscious of my circumstances right now so very accommodating. It's mask optional, but parking my present a problem since the street is pretty small just keep that in mind and as always. EnjoyFood: 5/5
