This auction house charges you a “Buyer’s Premium”,  as if it is somehow a great privilege that you are allowed to buy from them.  Just think about it.  Would you go into any other business and pay this.  Go into any major or minor retailer.  Pick say $1000.00 in merchandise.   You get your sales slip and they want $1250.00 plus any applicable taxes.  You show them the mistake and they tell you it is a “Buyer’s Premium”.  Would you pay it?  Why pay it here?   The hammer price is the same as the price in a retail shop.  Why are you paying more?

I originally dealt with Jonathan and he was extremely nice, gracious and professional.  We did business and it was easy and seamless.  Jonathan and Matt are very nice to deal with.  They are a pleasure to do business with.  If you are selling or wanting to place on auction, they are the folks you can trust!  I highly recommend them.  They are great!

Alexander and Matthew have been great to work with! They always go out of their way to make sure I am happy with each piece I buy.   Couldn't be happier with the service!  Highly recommend if you are looking for unique antiques!

I had a fantastic experience. Alexander and the team at Akiba's was professional and diligent. They were not only fair but were able to find the right buyer for my antiques.  I was very impressed with their knowledge and their organization. Should I decide to sell more of my antiques Akiba Antiques is where I am taking them.  Thanks again guys!!

I can truly say that everything here is AMAZING, I bought an Antique Lamp for my mother, WOW she couldn't be any happier. I will continue making purchases from this auction house, due to the rare finds available. Thank YOU
