Thanks to the NY vlogger who posted pics of his meals in Istanbul. Made me want some Middle Eastern food. Ordered from a place called Al Rayyan in Yonkers - 4 shawarmas and falafels. OMG were they delicious. Fresh, fat with filling and seasoned nicely. Not at all greasy or "too much of stuff." Even reheated they were good. I looked them up and discovered they were a supermarket, too! Friendly and helpful service. Not a huge place but very well stocked. What I bought are the first few pictures. Of course, I had to buy their homemade pistachio baklava and warbat. FYI - You can stop by or order their food via Grubhub/Seamless. Very reasonably priced and yummy.
Ive been a customer here several years. This place has the best Makdous! There is alway a good selection of produce, meat, tea, mid-eastern deserts and hookah supplies. 06/03/22
If you are looking for Turkish stuff, you got it here. They have a lot of things so you don't have to drive to NJ for Turkish supermarkets. They have halal meat in general and halal Turkey for Thanksgiving which is excellent. The butcher is super friendly, staff is helpful. They have a parking lot which makes it much easier. The only downside is I think their products are super overpriced. Veggies' and fruits' prices were ok though.
I bought 2 boxes of baklava—$45 and $20,—both as gifts. When my sister opened her $45 box, we were all there. None of the baklava tasted right—the nuts were all rancid. The expiration on the box stated May 2023. I went back to store a few weeks later when I was in the area. They didn’t even apologize, let alone offer a store credit or refund. They stated that they never have an issue with it….
What a great store! Lots of Middle Eastern groceries as well as fresh food, bulk nuts, snacks and sweets. Falafel, shwarma sandwiches, tabouleh, fresh hummus prepared on site to order. Really delicious. Friendly staff.
Nice Middle Eastern shop that has baklava, almond pastries, almond cake, a lot of pomegranate drinks, and all the hookah supplies you could ever need. They also do halal food which is pretty good but you should probably call ahead as it does take some time for them to cook it.
Great place to get middle eastern pastries, rose water, rice flour for pastries, dates,... you name it they have it... We had hard time figuring out how to get to their parking lot since we are not familiar with Yonkers, so we had to do a complete circle around and second time we got there via Burger King parking lot.
Great Palestinian grocery with a lot of needs for Palestinian, Arab and Mediterranean cooking and halal meats too. You'll spend a lot of time going through shelves and shelves of items I have not seen in the US. Added bonus? The owner is my homie from Nablus
The place is clean and organized nicely . I was able to buy what I wanted.prices are not bad in comparison to others. I will visit again.
Nice store… need some middle eastern beer and wine to make it perfect
