I arrived at 7:35 on a Friday morning and proceeded to have a pleasantly surprising visit.  I was in a rush to get a new birth certificate before my class started that morning and the nice woman there had me taken care of and on my way to class in 15 minutes.

Managers treat employees like employees are the dirt under their feet.  Employees are overworked and underpaid.  Programs are run to individual managers liking.  Some employees do not even work 40 hours per week but are paid for 40 hours per week.  Hours on time sheets do not reflect actual hours worked.  Administrator does not welcome new employees.  In fact, the administrator at this location is racist because he retaliated against an African American employee that filed a complaint against a crazy Caucasian employee who assaulted her AND failed to file a police report.  Ask how many law suits have been settled with this agency.  One is lucky to receive a nod in the hallway from the administrator because he is  sooooo busy in his arrogance.  Case managers are carrying double caseloads with low pay and no acknowledgement, just asked to do more and more.  Absolutely no training.  Too many levels of management.  The first level of supervisors have no idea how to supervise and received the promotion based on the ability to perform the previous position which was non supervisory.  The second level of supervision is incompetent and has no idea of the work involved with the Department or sections they are assigned to supervise. The third level is so busy finding a wife in the workplace that he is oblivious to the changes needed.  And well the fourth level is the administrator. Enough said earlier. The worse place I have ever worked in my 30 year career.   DO NOT APPLY for employment at this dump.  The administrator is racist and the management is no better. The doctors at this location are great but avoid the Ryan White Program like the plague!  None of the information will be kept confidential. What is HIPPA? Violations occur daily. So many clients abusing the system and getting illegal handouts while those who deserve the assistance get turned down because they do not fight for themselves.  The ones who fight for themselves are described as being "entitled" and labeled. Case Managers hurt at work are shot up with Cortisone and sent back to work. Others drink alcohol just as a coping mechanism. But as long as you don't speak "aggressively or abruptly" to the 2nd level incompetent supervisor and say yes um and no sir if you are a minority, you may keep your job. Translation do not disagree with anything or use your brain to think independently . Second level supervisor is the worst public speaker ever but is placed in a position as the face of the program. I should have questioned the fact that there a is only 1 minority in a management position at this location. Clients who read this run far away if you want privacy and potential employees apply elsewhere to maintain your sanity.
