I have been renting vehicles from Judy and Patty since I moved here to the county in 2001. The very first time that we rented was because of a family emergency.  They were the only people willing to help us in our time of need and went out of their way to accommodate us. Since then my family and I only go to them to rent vehicles, which is about 1-2 times a month.  They are a great example of perfect customer service and huge assets to the company! I showed up 20 minutes past my scheduled pick-up time and still had to wait 20 minutes for my car. I thought checking in online beforehand would help, but it did not. There's no point in checking in online with Alamo at MRY: you still have to go to the counter and cannot pick your car. The car was fine and clean but had 25k on it. The model was lower quality than what I usually get with other companies in the same car class.
There's a reason they're usually cheaper than the other companies here, so I think you just have to accept a lower service level.

This was my first time renting from Alamo. Halfway into my second day my tire pressure light came on. I assumed it was because it was cold at this point. I woke up the next morning and my tire was flat. I traded it out with the dummy tire in the trunk and headed to Alamo in Monterey. When I got there I was greeted by a very kind lady named Patty. She printed up some paperwork within minutes and got me into another car. A gentleman named Harry walked me out too my replacement  car and helped me get situated. This was such an unexpected surprise. Patty and Harry made what I thought was going to be a stressful experience into a quick anf painless one.

Reserved premium car on Internet but upon arrival no car was available.  The salesperson said "I don't know why they let you reserve when we are sold out!"  That was not comforting!  Web should be linked to dealer.  I took a lesser car.  Bought Sirius radio but the desk persons activation should have been done while the radio was powered on.  Instead I had to pull over on my trip and call in to Alamo help line to activate again. This is the second trip where this happened.  Otherwise nice car and the salesperson was helpful and sympathetic.

Called and rented a vehicle same day.  Provided great service, and a exceptional car at a great value!!   I would definitely rent from them again.
