Got a camera operated photo in the mail from may 15. It's august 8 almost 3 months later for going through a red light. One freaking letter sent out , how do I argue the late fee? This is nothing but a racket, it's a scam to rip people off. Shame on you Albany PD
2/16/2022 My experience is sad that lead me to calling and speaking to a very Compassionate and Professional & Officer named Elaine-a. I shared with her of my Horendous experience the night before with a supposed resident on Holmes Ct. selling Poodle Puppies. I had driven Over 3.5 hours some Related to getting lost. Coming from Central Ma. She not only took my information she did listen to me honestly and with an open heart. And for that alone I will be forever very grateful to her. I did not want anyone to get scammed by this particular couple, attempting to sell 10 week old poodle puppies, in their district. on Holmes Ct. for $600. Buyer beware of these types of scams wanting $200 deposit in any form of payment prepaid cards of any kind. Thank you for your Professionalism Elaine-a and and to the Police Station in the Holmes Ct. District. Sincerely Elaine Dimetri Central Ma
Last time i call non emergency line to report traffic light outages. Incredibly rude on the phone and hung up on me. Guess 7 lights out on Lark and around Lark with no yellow or red lights blinking - guess thats not a problem. No point in being a community member when they disrespect individuals even white people. Good luck building your reputation back Albany Police since white people don't even have your back and now I am one of them.
The officer was extremely gentle while handcuffing me, and made sure that they were just perfect not too tight, nor too loose. The ride back to the station was a bit awkward, and the handcuffs were a tad too cold, hence the 4 stars. However, the car was very roomy, smooth, and surprisingly comfortable. Overall, if you're to get arrested, Albany County is the place to be.
When I say this is such an emotional review for myself. I reside in Jacksonville Florida. I've had a messed up summer and I had to get a uhaul in Jacksonville Florida to move my things and a supposed to be friend of mine took the uhaul up to Albany NY and kept the uhaul for a month and a half .I was notified by the Jacksonville police department on Wednesday that they were going to the state attorney's office to try and get a warrant out for my arrest for felony grand theft auto. The supposed to be friend was not helpful and she was not working with me at all. O notified Albany NY police department that Thursday night and when I say by Friday at 3am a GOD SEND NAMED OFFICER BUTLER called to say they found the uhaul. I could have cried because he and that police force got on the job and policed the situation. So many miles away and you guys gave me a victory. I've been through such a traumatic summer and you guys honestly gave me a huge ray of hope. You guys cared and I will forever respect and love you guys for that. Not only did OFFICER BUTLER communicate that with me. He followed up. God bless you to the men and women in blue. You guys should be awarded, because every officer I spoke to in Albany with 8hrs were helpful and proactive !!!! To the chief : you have one hell of a team !!!
Absolutely terrible. My friend was staying at his apartment when his brother brought in a bunch of drug addicts one weekend. They physically assaulted him and after being treated in the emergency room he called the police . They said he had to be present at the apartment to press charges when he didn't feel safe there and is a disabled man. Additionally I was overseas in Kuwait as I was currently serving as a US army service member, and he was using my car. I emailed him telling him take my car and drive home. His original home was out of state so we terminated the lease. To get back at us the drug addict brother filed a police report through this station that my car had been stolen. My disabled brother went to jail in the state he was in and was being held there until brought back to New York. When I discovered this I attempted to use a satellite dsn phone line taking a day off of my guard shift to correct the situation. The policeman that answered the phone call literally did not even pick up and say "hello Albany police," he was smacking his lips eating loudly and said "hey who is this?" I said "is this Albany police?" Several times before he finally acknowledged. I explained the situation and he said "call back in 12 hours." I said "sir I am overseas in Kuwait. I am in another country." He said "ok well you have to call back in 12 hours . " I got more frustrated. "Sir I am an active duty soldier I protect this installation on a guard shift this is my only chance to use this phone it is a government military dsn line!" "ok we will call you back what's your number?" I began to grow furious. "Sir this is a military satellite line it makes one way outgoing calls. It cannot receive calls!" "Ok then we cannot help you so have a good day." The fat idiot hung up. I had to find somebody on Facebook willing to call both police departments in my brother's state and to the Albany department . I finally managed to take a second day off and by this time I am risking losing my job and military judicial action against me because of what somebody else caused to happen defending the nation because these incompetent law enforcement officers do not want to help us! I faxed a military power of attorney from the on base JAG office to both the jail holding him and to the Albany police station. Do you think that was the end of my trouble? NOPE!!! BOTH POLICE STATIONS DIDN'T KNOW WHICH ONE WAS SUPPOSED TO RELEASE HIM. After three days my brother who was innocent from the very start finally got released from jail and my other brother had no legal actions they were able to charge on him. This is disgusting police incompetence at its finest and this entire police department needs a serious review. This all happened early 2012 and while I'm staying here in New York I wanted to make sure my story was told and that this police department NEVER lives this down!
It has always been my life goal to get paid for assaulting defenseless minorities. For years, my friends and family told me that I needed to be realistic, no where in America can you be paid a livable wage to assault citizens. It put me in a deep depression, realizing I may never get to live my dreams. That is until Officer Luke Deer showed me what the Albany Police Department has to offer. Did you know they let you tackle unaware bystanders and beat them in the back of the head with a batton? You are also able to kick men in the face after you put them in cuffs. I want to thank Officer Deer for showing me the wonderful opportunities the Albany Police Department offers towards Racists, Power abusers, and people who are just unhappy with their lives. To get a complete view of these opportunities in action, be sure to search "Graphic Body Camera Footage Shows Albany Police Conduct Brutal Beating" on Youtube.
Thank you to the very nice Police Officer that gave me roadside assistance on 1-90 this morning. And to the State Policeman that also stopped. I have always only received the most courteous and caring of attention from all of the officers that I have come in contact with.
Useless, the phone number directly links to the Chief's office bit of course, Boone works there apparently!
My good friend Nick works for your department and I have to say you guys are always doing such a great job keeping the communities clean and safe!!
