Bakery problem. Ordered 2 1/2 sheet cakes decorated for Salute to All Veterans. They were to be ready at 8 AM today. When I arrived when I finally got her attention as she was decorating cup cakes she had not looked at orders for them to be ready at 8AM. I left and went back about 1 1/2 hours later and the second cake was not finished so I waited around. These 2 cakes cost me $63,98. They were ordered about 3 weeks ago. My last 2 cake order for retirement ceremony were not ready either. This is 2 very sad experiences for a place I always order cakes for the Cheyenne VAMC.

About once or twice a month we go in for their fried chicken. I always go in after school lets out. We always have them make it fresh for us. A few times they could not make it fresh claiming they had several orders ahead us. Well, that makes perfect sense. Others were ahead of us. So we come back another day in those cases. It needs to be cooked fresh because nobody eats until 5:00 or 5:30 so that is why we always have it cooked fresh when I go in. Just a few days ago we went in. There was one employee that looked to be cleaning the work area and organizing. Another employee was going in and out of the walk-in that seemed to be working on salads. We asked if the employee cleaning if he could cook fresh chicken for us. He said that chicken in the display was a bit over a half hour old. I said I still wanted it cooked fresh. He said OK. A voice from the back said we are NOT cooking any more chicken. What you see is what you get. He also stated it would be a waste of money. Keep in mind that there were NO other customers at the counter, both chicken cookers were open and ready for use, no orders were pending, and an employee said he could do it. I told him somebody said no so he checked and was told NOT to cook any more chicken. I am really trying to understand how lame this was and why he said NO. Both cookers were open and available, no customers were waiting, no pending orders were present, and an employee was ready to cook it for us. We always get 2 chickens and 2 to 3 pounds of chicken tenders. He only had to prep 16 pieces of chicken using one available cooker and two or three hand fulls of tenders placed in the other cooker. How could this be a waste of money as claimed by the boss of the area? We walked in ready to purchase fresh cooked food, This time we walked out NOT buying a thing. You lost our money and business for the day and maybe longer. If you cook fresh chicken orders for others then what pathetic excuse can you give for NOT cooking my order fresh when there was NOTHING to prevent it??? While management has helped me find items in the store in the past and the people working in the meat department and the checkout lanes are always helpful I have to take away 4 of those 5 stars. Incredible how one lazy person in the deli can destroy an entire review of your store. I did tell the person who initially agreed to cook my order several times that I would call the store management. I also told him several times that he should really open his eyes and look at who he works for. BTW, I had a witness along with me who can verify this entire event on a dime. Odd, I thought Abertsons on Pershing Blvd was in the business to sale food.Seems they do not want our business very much.

Helpful employees, good selection, pharmacy is the best. Only complaint would be lack of handicap parking and inconsiderate people who park in the designated chairlift areas next to parking spot. That crosshatched area is for chairlift access on vans

Avoid the orange chicken in sauce in the deli. Not sure if it is even all chicken. Lots of chewy gritty what ever.

Groceries are of great quality, and although it's smaller than your typical megagiant superstore it serves my needs quite nicely and is cozy.
