I used them in November 2013 and they did a great job. I have since referred people to them and I called them again to schedule an upcoming move. I spoke with Michelle on Friday morning. She assured me someone would call me that evening or the next morning. 3 days later still no call so I called them back. I was asking for the same move price that they gave me when they moved me first which being a repeat customer and referring others I thought was reasonable. 

When I spoke to the owner Doug he would not honor that rate. He kept talking over me and wouldn't even let me speak. His customer service skills are lacking in which he should leave to his reps. He wouldn't waive a fuel surcharge that they waived previously, 11% is ridiculously high and another way for them to gain income. He said they move 4,000 people and clearly he doesn't care about repeat business or recommendations.  For moving that many people and only having a handful of reviews I thought that others should know of my experience. I spent $120 tipping the guys last time and also another $30 buying them breakfast and lunch. When I explained that it would be taking away from their tip he did not care saying that he treats his employees good and didn't recommend tips. 

After speaking with him I remember speaking with him during my last move and he was exactly the same. When I agreed to the price he pushed on me he said someone would call 24-48 hours prior to the move and I can make the decision then. When I asked if they would really call me because I was already promised a call he said forget it and didn't want my business. 

Go with someone who values their customers, repeat business and most of all the best compliment of referrals.

I agree with the last review that I was severely underquoted and shocked at what the end asking price was. I also agree that the movers were a little less that professional bit must admit that they did a fantastic job and very speedy!  I was impressed at how quickly they moved everything including disassembling my bed frame.

I used them for a local CT move in August and had a bad experience. They quoted for 3-4 hrs with 2 people and I ended up paying for 6 hrs with 3 people. The guys who landed were reasonable, but were no professionals when I compare them to my last year's move from MN to CT. The most frustrating part was that I was asked to pay close to double the quoted price before unloading (which was conveniently not mentioned). I called up the manager to discuss the issue, but I was shocked with his rudeness. He refused to talk to me and threatened to take stuff to their warehouse if I did not pay right away. The guys later told me that that this happens with a lot of their moves and very frustrated with sales folks for constantly under quoting. It was clear they did not like their job and might have exaggarated, but why take a chance.
