“ACT 1st Federal Credit Union was formerly Allegany County Teachers Federal Credit Union. The Credit Union was formed in 1950 by pooling funds from several teachers in the Allegany County School system. Today, the Credit Union serves several groups to include Allegany County Board of Education students and staff, Allegany College of Maryland students and staff, members and employees of local unions 307, 100, 453 and 992 and immediate family members of each employee group. We are an Equal Housing Lender that proudly serves financial needs of many.
