Allegheny Commons Park
"Established in 1867, Allegheny Commons is Pittsburgh's oldest park. Known for its mature canopy trees, wide promenade, and lovely Lake Elizabeth, Allegheny Commons is the front yard for the Northside's diverse neighborhoods. To preserve and restore the Commons, citizens formed an advocacy group called the Allegheny Commons Initiative in 1999. The Master Plan for Allegheny Commons was produced in 2002.Today, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy is working in partnership with the City, the Allegheny Commons Initiative, and the Northside Leadership Conference on initiatives to restore and renew Allegheny Commons"

Lovely park. Went to the lantern festivity in the park great place for a good activity like that
Lovely park. Hosting site for Water Lantern Festival.
Many couples have their Wedding photos taken at Lake Elizabeth in the park. Dog-friendliness: There is a dog park here.
Looks deserted. Homeless people gathering under the trees with all their belongings.
Very nice concert theater in place, Children's Museum Rental place to hold events
Nice place to walk your dog during the day. Neighborhood reminds me of Brooklyn, where I grew up.
Came here with a girlfriend and we did not feel safe even though it was broad daylight, there were lots of homeless people, we were approached multiple times being asked for money, our numbers, etc., and there was a random couple wading and splashing around in the fountain. Just a weird vibe all around. Won't be coming back. We went to Riverview Park instead and it was much more quiet and comfortable.
It's a beautiful park when you walk through and see the snow cone man and his cart I use to go with my parents and my lil brother I still till this day love it over there but can be bad in some parts like crime is starting to be a normal there not safe but it is beautiful
