Beautiful Restaurant! We sat right next to a warm gas fireplace! The owner is very friendly and wait staff Courteous. But the food was soooo good! The HOT bread that they bring to the table to get you started is fresh and crispy right out of the oven & the seafood is so fresh and cooked & prepared so well! Yum! This place is one of the best kept secrets of Lindenhurst! The owner told us he’s been there for 51 years! Parking: Probably about 30 spots but plenty of room Dietary restrictions: My family has a wide range of dietary restrictions from Gluten Free to Dairy free and even nut allergies. They were extremely understanding and careful in preparing our food. This made us feel confident and comfortable
Terrible restaurant! I don't know how they can stay in busuness!!! No ambience, a 50+ year old carpet that smelled mildew. An unfrendly waitress, who didn't want to be there. We ordered steamed lobster and we were served a dried lobster which was cooked days ago and put under the broiler! the soup, potatoes and veggies were cold. The only hot thing on our table was the bread. Wasted money on garbage
Food was horrible, I was willing to sacrifice the atmosphere because reviews said food was good. Chicken parm was the worst I ever had. The sauce was so bad, the chicken was rubber, and the cheese didn't even melt right. Then they gave us grated Parmigiano, and I put some on and realized it had all green mold in it.Food: 1/5
Food was terrible and the service just a bad. There were only 8 guests in the the entire restaurant and nobody ever came to ask us if we wanted something else to drink and we had to get up and get our own silverware. Food was cold and overcooked. Even the bread was burnt. When asked by the waiter how everything was, my husband replied not that great and the waiter walked away without even saying anything.
Old style family restaurant where you can linger and linger whether you want to or not. So be prepared to sit back and chill. It's like having dinner in a private house. 2lb broil Lobster special for $30 cash was cooked perfectly. The 4 shrimp were large and the 4 clams plump and juicy in the pasta dish with additional chopped clams in the sauce. Shrimp scampi tends towarda Oreganata more than scampi. You don't come here to be wowed but you come here for good old no frills Italian based food.
Ok so it's not what I expected. The carpeting and decor are not to my taste. But I was pleasantly surprised by the seafood plate for two there was alot in there. The food was ok some parts were a bit salty. The service was fine. Im giving it three stars because my daughters who are both under 10 years loved the seafood and the linguini. I guess it really depends on what your looking for... This reminded me of a diner not a restaurant.
Pleasant surprise! I haven’t been to Alletto’s in years. They have completely updated the decor and menu. The interior looks beautiful and the food was absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh, the flavors were great. Not to mention the tasty looking desserts! I don’t know what was better the food or the owner Joe. What a sweet man and great establishment. I highly recommend it.
Had a wonderful meal at a table in front of the fireplace. Owner was very friendly
My husband and I have enjoyed several lobster meals at Allettos. It’s our go to for lobster. Parking: Plenty of parking available.
I have lived two miles from Alletto's for 48 years and never ate there. For our 51 anniversary I wanted lobster and they did not disappoint! Everything was perfectly cooked and delicious. It's going to be a tradition now. Pics are before and after.
