Good for the past 13 years, but AWFUL in the past month!! I live in a "Wild Fire" area which requires inspections of the property to ensure fire danger mitigation is in place. They gave a vague report explaining what needed to be done, which I then took to my agent and asked for more specifics about which specific trees needed trimmed back. Though the information was still vague, I took the recommended actions on my property and was told I could simply send pictures of what I had done to prevent the policy from getting cancelled. I then received a call from them (4 days after the cancellation date that was set if I didn't comply), and was told that an inspector had come out, but had not posted his results yet, thus the policy was cancelled. So I had been without insurance for 4 days. They believe that it will get reinstated after the inspector results come back, but after this terrible experience, I am desperate for a better insurance company and agency. Yes, it is Allstate's policies that are flawed, setting their customers up for failure; however, my agents need to share in the blame as well. They gave me inaccurate information, and have not helped facilitate this effort at all. If anything, they've hurt matters by giving me inaccurate information. It's a shame, as I was happy with Allstate up till now, and I know that people make mistakes, but the fact that Allstate and Kara Hucke are not owning their mistakes and making it right is a deal breaker for me. They've lost my trust, and aren't willing to gain it back. UPDATE: They finally decided to make an exception and skip the inspection. Come next year, we'll see how this process goes again. I don't have high hopes, but at least I'm more educated now and know what to expect. Unfortunately, to avoid all the hassle I experienced last time, I'll probably just pay one of their recommended contractors to cleanup my property. Then if I fail inspection, they will be responsible and not me. UPDATE 2/1/18: They're at it again! They are saying my policy will be cancelled again due to lack of mitigation, yet I have done the mitigation and even had the fire department verify that my property follows the Division of Fire Prevention and Control standards. It would be nice if the agents would actually HELP me with this, but instead they give me the run around, don't return my calls, and give me zero information. Either they're incompetent, or All-State does a poor job communicating to their agencies. Either way, this has been the worst experience I've ever had with an insurance company.

At Kara Hicks insurance you’re not another faceless name. They have been amazing to work with and don’t even come close to comparing with any other insurance agent I’ve worked with. They are quick to answer my questions and are always working behind the scenes to make sure my family is taken care of!

This insurance company will deceive you when you ask for specific coverage so that they later can deny your claim. It is impressive just how unprofessional and unethical they are despite years of loyalty and thousands of dollars invested into their company via both home and auto insurance. You are not in good hands and they don’t care. Bottom line. We will seek coverage elsewhere.

Came in just for an insurance quote. Bryn promptly helped me and was very helpful in making sure I was getting the correct price and more importantly the correct coverage I needed. Definitely recommended.
